I know they're slowly adding services again, but they could process those and still not resume routine services. Closing the embassies to routine visas would fit into their plan to cut immigration down to a minimum.

I don't comprehend your point. Are you being sarcastic or is there a deeper explanation to what you are saying?

No, I'm genuinely worried that Stephen Miller's immigration policies will have an effect on embassies' abilities to process immigration related things. They've succeeded in mostly shutting down immigration due to the Pandemic and considering that that's Miller's goal, there's no reason for them to start things up again, especially as long as this virus is around.

I come at this as a wait and see and not trying to predict something that his fluid in history. Changes are always a concern but until one sees the proposal it's hard for me to be on one side of the issue or the other. Just my two cents.

Oh no, I know it's not a certainty.

The one thing that worries me is that they've been trying to limit it for years, usually with a decent amount of resistance. Now suddenly you've got a pandemic, giving them the chance to do what they wanted to without anyone really paying attention to it.

I'm mostly worried that the EOs are a distraction from the broader plan that's in place. I mean, they really, really don't like people moving there and this is their chance to mostly keep that from happening.

1. You obviously ignored a whole section of the proclamation and chose to acknowledge this part and;

2. As long as the Embassy is going to facilitate our interviews, your interpretation of the proclamation is inconsequential.

sorry but i see family of USC can enter but K1 is not family

and yes,  they are processing the applications but will you get a visa to come under the EO????

I have never come away that they what to do away immigration. POTUS wants immigration that is in the best interest of Americans not for the sake of those who want to come. Look what is taking place in the EU. If we don't adhere to the law of the land and that includes immigration, we will be in the mist of the seeing this country become something that immigration was never intended to do. CR-1 and K-1 will continue to be adjudicated and allowed in but only if the person is healthy both mentally, physically and that they have the means to which they will not become a public charge. I for one am tired of paying for someone else all the time.

They are processing both CR-1 and K-1. To form an opinion this early with extraordinarily little information I deemed not prudent. Wait and see how things play out. There is nothing in writing that says K-1 cannot come to the USA. There have been some K-1's with emergency applications that have been approved and have passed immigration at their POE without any conflicts even under POTUS EO's.

Well the email stated that once the routine service suspension ends, they’ll start rescheduling k1s that were cancelled in March.

The routine suspension has nothing to do the presidents ban so im clinging to the positive. Jamaica’s Embassy also just resumed US citizen services so we’re headed on the right path 👌🏼
