Now lets look at how speeches typically work. Done in advance, with a PR team. The word token was carefully selected.

Who's the author of this "bill" Durbin's referring to?

Considering the Dems strategy of labeling the GOP as racist and the Speaker’s words, it seems quite evident what Senator Durbin was doing.  Besides, it really doesn’t matter, offensive language is in the eye of the beholder, and Senator Scott certainly seemed offended.

I'm not one to personally care what one finds offensive, but I do know for that these "culturally sensitive" people who find racism around every corner, it's no mistake they use this term, and beyond the obvious racism, it's a bullying tactic against demographics the party or the left think they own.

But this is all small potatoes. Scott knows his bill won't go anywhere in the House. Pelosi knows her bill won't go anywhere in the Senate. All this stuff about their provoking statement, Scott's reaction, the GOP reaction, the Dem reaction to their reaction, all WWE type theater, because this is how people in Congress make Americans believe they're being useful.

Absolutely.  I am just wondering when the Democrat Party is going to change their name given their long racist history.
