Extension on NOA2 expire date

Greetings,

I am in need of some advice. We received our i-797 at the beginning of March, and then I received an email at the end of March with a word attachment (K1-FTP) stating the NVC was forwarding our petition to the US Embassy in Manila. When following the package, it sat in transit for about 2.5 months. It now finally shows the status as ready, but our petition expires in one week. My Fiance is pregnant, and due to the timing of birth, even if we could manage to get an interview and approval by the end of July she would not be able Fly at 32 weeks pregnant. How do I go about requesting an extension, and whom would I need to contact at the consulate to make such a request?  Hoping to travel to be with them for the birth in Sept if at all possible, but they would likely not be able to travel here on a visa until Jan/Feb 2021 when approved.

Thank you in advance for any information provided.

It will automatically be extended for another 4 months.

It is Manila?  That's great.   Haven't heard any being sent yet.

Yes, Manila. it was non existent on CEAC for two weeks. It suddenly showed ready on June 15, but it provided some message about waiting for them to send a schedule of appointments. She wasn't sure if it was okay to go ahead and schedule online, or if she is waiting on further notification from them. Either way we would have to wait until the baby is born and can travel at this point. Good to hear it will automatically be extended. They provide notice of extensions due to COVID-19 on State Department website?

Thank you,

USEM Manila has been known to automatically extend the validity of the petition for up to one year.

Last person I was in contact with (few months back now) sent an email to the embassy inquiring and were told:

Petition Validity
Your NOA2 has a 4 month validity.  If your visa application process takes longer than the 4 months the petitioner should email the the embassy requesting they extend the validity of the petition:  support-philippines@ustraveldocs.com to request for the extension Make sure to include your MNL#.

Does it expire? Our NOA 2 was January 31 2020

Talking K1- No issue if it is an active case . . . if there are appointments open and you don't one then yes it gets closed out.

Once the petition is transferred to the consulate they expect you to schedule the appointment in the 4 months.   That is schedule - not have the interview.  A few consulates do not have appointments open for many months.  That is not held against the beneficiary.

If it is stuck at the NVC there is no expiration.
