Where did you get these questions from? My interviewer asked me questions about our wedding, family and financial matters. He didn't ask about the color of sofas and favourite positions. This is ridiculous.

Sep 02, 2005 - AOS/EAD packet sent to Chicago

Nov 19, 2005 - AOS/EAD biometrics done

Nov 28, 2005 - EAD card in the mail

Mar 20, 2006 - interview

Mar 29, 2006 - Permanent Resident Card arrived in the mail

total time: 197 days

joint I-751:

Feb 11, 2008 - I-751 sent to NSC

Mar 12, 2008 - biometrics done

Jul 28, 2008 - I-751 approved

Aug 04, 2008 - 10-year GC arrived in the mail

total time: 158 days

A few, if I remember, came out of a .doc handbook posted on another immigration forum. It was written by a lawyer for a ... stipes (?) interview preparation, I believe.

26 January 2005 - Entered US as visitor from Canada.
16 May 2005 - Assembled health package, W2s.
27 June 2005 - Sent package off to Chicago lockbox.
28 June 2005 - Package received at Chicago lockbox.
11 July 2005 - RFE: cheques inappropriately placed.
18 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-485, I-131, I-765 received!
19 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-130 received!
24 August 2005 - Biometrics appointment (Naperville, IL).
25 August 2005 - AOS touched.
29 August 2005 - AP, EAD, I-485 touched.
15 September 2005 - AP and EAD approved!
03 February 2006 - SSN arrives (150 days later)
27 February 2006 - NOA 2: Interview for 27 April!!
27 April 2006 - AOS Interview, approved after 10 minutes!
19 May 2006 - 2 year conditional green card.
01 May 2008 - 10 year green card arrives.
09 December 2012 - Assembled N-400 package.
15 January 2013 - Sent package off to Phoenix.
28 January 2013 - RFE: signature missing.
06 February 2013 - NOA 1: N-400 received!

I think it's called the stokes interview when they interview the couple separatedly for hours :blink:

11/20/06 USCIS cust.service started inquiry about case (because it's outside of processing times)

11/30/06 approval e-mail

12/07/06 Greencard in the mail (= 8 months and 21 days for the entire AOS process)

are the questions really THAT specific?!

They can as you things like if you walk out your front door this morning where was your car parked? Crazy things but detailed enough to catch the fraud cases

Ahh, anyone going through the visa journey dance should definately watch Green Card. It was one of the first movies my DH and I watched when he got here.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

* Have you ever had an argument that resulted in one of you sleeping in another room? Who, and which room?

* What kind of birth control do you use? What brand do you use?

* When was your wife's last menstrual period?

I am sorry, immigration Officer or not, if we are asked those questions, I will have no problem telling him/her to stick their questions where the sun don't shine... And I would, AOS interview or not.

There is a fine line between relevant questions and trying to embarrass someone.
