I'm losing it. I'm getting so anxious. I hope it's something simple. I hope it's a form. I don't know what else to send.

Try to calm down, no point in being anxious. I bet it will be something simple and maybe even something you already sent.

Do you have informed delivery?

It might be most beneficial to write them a letter with the next RFE return, explaining in detail why your arrangements are the way they are. With both your signatures. They expect evidence of residential and financial co-mingling, as in shared lease agreements and shared bank accounts. Life happens, however, they just need an explanation why you cannot present the „usual“ stuff.

Did that on 1st RFE. A letter of explanation of our living situations that included a time table. 😕

So, I received it. It's the exact same thing as the first RFE with the exact same date and the exact same deadline that has passed. I am confused.

Wow! Then they reissued the same RFE by mistake.

What is your status at the USCIS site? RFE received?

It says "A Request for Additional Evidence was Sent". This was June 24. I checked the envelope it came in, sure enough, June 24.

Call customer service and ask for a Tier 2.

They're immigration officers and have access to your whole file; they will be able to see if the response to the first RFE was received, if there was an actual second RFE or it was just a mistake and might give you advice on what to do next.

Please send everything you sent before again (Hopefully you made a copy). Even if you call them and they say everything is fine, and don't worry about it, re-send everything unless you application status change to corresponding received.

You don't want to risk a clerical denial

Again, unless your application status change to corresponding received or something that state that they got your RFE, RESEND WHAT YOU SENT FEW WEEKS AGO.

I have had that status on my account then it changed to the part that they sent ab RFE. Good thing I have all of it scanned.

If I were you, I'd just resend everything with a note that you received a duplicate RFE, and ease my mind. OR simply a note with the RFE letter in an envelope and write that you received a duplicate letter, and you already sent everything before (simpler and cheaper)

Again, I'd not recommend you risking a clerical error system denial letter, which USCIS notorious for. I know it sucks to pay for shipping again, but it is wort since you already paid a lot to get there.  USCIS on the phone are not always the most helpful, and you can see a lot of cases on the forum where they do mistakes updating status and/or sending notices.

I always say I'd rather be extra cautious then regret not to.

You provided the following evidence that the marriage was entered in good faith:
Joint federal income tax returns for 2016-2017"

So they only got tax returns for 2016 and 2017. They're likely to want to see 2018 and 2019 too.

Did you file joint tax returns for 2018 and 2019?

It does seem strange that you would only send tax returns for 2016 and 2017.

The most recent documents are the ones that can help support your case.

We submitted the initial application February 2018. In the RFE, I sent in 2018's. 2019, we haven't filed yet.

Yeah, we filed joint tax returns 2016, 2017, 2018.

We did submit our initial packet February 2018. We haven't done 2018 taxes at that time.

With the first RFE, we sent in 2018's as well.
