Please can one still order a tax transcript online. My Husband tried to order  online and he was told to come to the IRS office with proof of ID as that's the process now due to high level of identity fraud. Please has anybody had this experience before. Thanks

I can't answer your question specifically, but we were unable to get my husband's transcripts because he doesn't have a credit card/loan/mortgage, etc. to prove his identity and he's currently in Canada with me. We wrote a letter stating our situation and that we would bring transcripts to the interview. We didn't get a single RFE and we got DQ, so hopefully that gives you some hope.

I submitted form 1040/w2 and was approved 06/13/2020 with no RFI's
