Case has been expedited to post?

I have received an update from CEAC that my case has been expedited to post, but I have never applied for an expedite. Also my VISA status has changed from AT NVC to READY. 

I am applying for a CR1 Visa and got DQued in May. I have been waiting for an update ever since.

what does all this mean? could it be a mistake from NVC or is it normal to receive such update even if I did not apply for any expedite.

I too  received a similar email. The email says the embassy has approved the expedited processing of my immigrant visa application, but I didn't request an expedited processing. A couple of days later, the status on the CEAC website changed to READY from IN TRANSIT. The same day the status changed, I received an email directly from the embassy asking me to complete my medical examinations. The embassy stated that they will not schedule an interview until they received the medical results. I did the medical examinations and I'm now waiting for a call or email from the embassy with my interview date. 

Brief, if you have yet to receive an email from your embassy, I would advise you to email the embassy and ask them what you need to do next. READY means your files have reached the embassy. I'm new to this forum, so hope this was helpful.

Thank you ! this was extremely helpful ! I havent received any email from the embassy yet after my status has changed, but I have contacted them to ask them more details and told them that I havent applied for any expedite request.  Good luck !

Yes there has been some random good news at NVC.
