Does the father in-law make more than 125% poverty line when counting his dependents, and you? If he does then brother in-law is not needed to file I-864A.

Also the US Citizen Spouse MUST file an I-864, this was not mentioned.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Andy,

A Joint Sponsor uses form I-864, same as the Sponsor. I-864A is for use when a Sponsor or Joint Sponsor includes a Household Member's financial resources on their I-864.

Are you saying that the father-in-law is going to be a Joint Sponsor and wants to include your brother-in-law as a Household Member? If so, then your father-in-law and your brother-in-law execute an I-864A. Look at the form and read the form instructions.

Hi All,

I wanted to ask if it was possible for my Brother in law to be a joint sponsor using the I-864A form. My father in law is going to file the I-864 but i also need a co-sponsor. They both live in the same household.

Thanks again

Andy
