So just a question:

I know London is a soft embassy but do I really need to bring exact originals? Like my father in law's business license? He can't afford to operate without it, in fact it's illegal. Are they sure a photocopy wouldn't suffice?

They will want your original (or the certified copy) birth certificate, police report, name changes, marriage certificate, divorces and such like that.

They have always taken photocopies of proofs for affidavits of support like IRS transcripts and financial statements. People have scanned employer letters or printed off info from HR websites. I realize he doesn’t have an employer, but that is some general info that might be useful to somebody.

That was in another thread. I don’t think it does anything for him either but somebody at NVC suggested it. He’s still got an RFE about his joint sponsor, but has also said his wife makes enough now.

We are using a joint-sponsor in case the NVC doesn't approve my wife and her financials. (She is making enough this year but didn't last year, all we have is an employer letter and 3 months of paystubs cause she cant find before that.) He is self employed and they asked for his business license.

Thank you. I thought it meant original copies for AOS documents too and I was like "?"

Also yes my wife makes enough now. Just a quick question, we originally thought they wouldn't DQ us solely on my wife's financials cause she didn't make enough last year but considering she does this year, and the NVC reviewer looks at it and sees that, will they just erase my joint-sponsor entirely or what will happen? I am just wondering considering he is still on my portal.
