Transferring case

Our case has been in Saudi embassy for over a year now. The make updates frequently but no emails. My fiancé left saudi to go to Pakistan before the pandemic. Now he’s stuck there and can’t get back in, they aren’t letting expats return. Would it better to transfer his case to Pakistan ? I know that it’s tough to get approvals through Pakistan. If he gets an approval in saudi and we transfer due to Pakistan do they have to process it all over again or will they just give him the visa? What do you guys suggest I’m so stressed out with this whole process

1st of all, relax and take a deep breath / nothing you can do will speed the process

but seriously?   you think that interviewing in Pakistan is the right choice?  you ask us for our opinion??? this is a personal choice and most would hate to tell you as we have no way to know what is right or correct.

when the US embassy reopens  in Saudi,  it will be because they feel it is safe and transportation has been restored and the borders have opened

I found this from a  the following visa attorney site  https://www.visalawyerblog.com/what-is-happening-with-us-consulates-and-embassies-when-will-they-reopen/

Have any Consulates announced their reopening?

For the moment, we have received information that the following Consulates will begin to schedule in-person visa appointments for local residents in June, July, and August:

  • UK (Belfast)
  • UK (London)
  • Israel (Tel Aviv)

so things are happening

and an Australian poster said they had an approval - i do not know the OP profile name

The Australian post you are referring to have a visa approved based on an emergency. Nothing is being processed on a normal basis at the Aussy embassy.
