Case stuck at NVC due to Covid, Montreal consulate not open yet and approval notice is going to expire... what to do?

Hi guys, so since the US Consulate in Montreal is closed and only taking emergency expedited cases .What should I do if my approval notice from the NO2 expires July 30th and our case is still at the NVC. Of course they can't send our case to Montreal until they are open and ready to accept K1 cases again. There's also no point in me emailing the embassy if our case isn't there ,they can't look into it. I'm hoping they will extended the approval notice automatically because of Covid but I don't want to assume that.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

Some cases that were at the NVC were shipped to the consulate yesterday, Dec 8th. Status changed to ''IN TRANSIT''. Let us know if your status has any updates so I can update the SS. also, I invite you guys to join Montreal K1 Visa Applicants group on Facebook.

Hi, my case was shipped to the Consulate  and got an email from the NVC December 8th stating they sent it to Montreal. I’ve been checking the status and its been saying “Ready” for a few weeks now. I’m not waiting for Montreal to send Packet 3 so I can email my documents to them.
