Edit: Actually, as I type this, it looks like the Trump Team over the last week has become active on Parler. I also see some independent and conservative media and FOX people starting to post there in the same time period.

   Who would have imagined that a moderators own political leanings might influence their moderating activity in some way? Like it hasn't been a bad enough year already without finding out something like that for the first time. I truly hope this is all a giant hoax.

Yeah, Adam Schiff is a perfectly reasonable person with all the evidence.  Regardless, as to the OP, who is surprised that social media companies are staffed by ultra leftist.

The left's agreement to the Russia hoax being a hoax isn't necessary at all re:the truth. It is simply the truth.

 

However while Trump's vision of the wall + Mexico building it was lofty and everyone knew it (with extremely powerful and coordinated opposition), any reasonable person will notice 1) the wall that has been built (and that will be finished by the end of this year), 2) the effort made to keep that promise, and 3) the constant efforts to undermine what people clearly voted for. It won't happen in that very idealistic way but it is happening now and will so long as Trump is President. In that, you can trust.

  Probably the farther right someone is, the more left others seem by comparison. So sure, I imagine that can take people by surprise once they step outside of their own little bubbles. In general though, I think people that see ultra left (or ultra right) everywhere probably have their own issues to work on. 

 

  I see occasional examples everywhere I've ever worked and people who fall all over the political spectrum. People sometimes let their politics invade spaces it shouldn't be in and then things have the potential to get nuts. It's naive to think it doesn't happen or that it only happens with one political demographic. Employers should have policies to address this. At work, if it's not threatening or violent, first offenders get a warning to leave their personal politics at home. We have terminated people in some instances who can't let it go, especially if they are already on corrective action for other reasons.

 

  For high profile lucrative jobs like moderator, I am sure blatant unfairness is not tolerated on a consistent basis, but I imagine some discretion has to be allowed. If there are multiple complaints against the individual in the OP, I'm sure Facebook has an SOP for addressing that.

Not really going to entertain a group that's known for their lying and various scams. But I suppose if I had enough money and shoddy skills I could make a video with actors pretending to be moderators for facebook and say whatever things I wanted to whistleblower style. Hey I thought whistleblowers were looked on with scorn these days.

Since when do people step outside their bubbles?  Content moderators for facebook and other companies have a thankless underpaid job with little support for the distress they deal with daily. Little guidance is given and that's why it's generally the mess that it is.

Look no further than the Project Veritas' journalism as to what "moderators" on these particular social media sites actually think. Whether that represents a large or small portion, it is of utter irrelevance, their views are confirmatory statements we unequivocally see as outcomes on the platform itself, with intensifying frequency.

 

Edit: LOL. You're calling these people made-up actors? The last time I heard that sort of talk about real people was from right wing conspiracy nuts like Alex Jones calling school shooting victims and their families "actors". Interestingly, these conspiracy nuts are among the banned.

 

I'd suggest a re-evaluation of that thought process. This isn't a fabrication, ex-employees have routinely confirmed what PV got on tape, even while still employed. If it was, it is a serious form of defamation, and these insanely rich companies are compelled to sue PV into oblivion, and would. Instead, PV's videos have resulted in lawsuits (against the companies), firings, legislation, and so on. Even if we presume they do editing, which everyone doing journalism does, either what they're showing is true or it isn't. It clearly is.

You could also say the further Left someone is, the more Centrist or Right Someone can appear.  In this new world of Leftist tearing down history, they simply do not care and many of these folks are in these “woke” professions.  I know, both sides do it, but I still have yet to see those in the Center or on the Right tearing down statues, trying to erase history, or doing everything possible to silence those that may disagree with their political opinions even if there are actual facts involved.

   Denying that a real life massacre happened versus not believing a video made by a right wing activist group that has history of putting out fraudulent videos is not really a logical contrast.

  Well I could, (and I agree), but I was responding to your specific quote calling people "ultra left". I didn't actually see any accusation(s) made of anyone being "ultra right".

Hey I was just pointing out we're really big into calling and dismissing things fake these days unless of course one agrees with the particular subject matter emphatically. But yes, they have a terrible track record making them low on the believable scale.
