You are okay to contribute, just stop spreading false information to mislead people who needs help. Many of us have been long time members to help with right information.

What misleading info did I give? That Nigeria is temporarily banned but spousal visas are being waived regardless..? Or that the waiver is at the discretion of the CO? Or that if the beneficiary have a clean slate he or she will be given a visa? Or that as of March 2020 spousal visas were given? Which among the above stated is false Ma'am tour guide? Smh guide other people please. I didn't solicit your guidance neither am I here to guide others. I am here to learn and give my little input.

There is a ban on immigrant visas for Nigeria yes but spousal visas have been greatly waived up until March 2020 before the covid by the COs It is at their discretion. Someone posted the issuance rate of this category of visas from Nigeria some days back. Let's stop misinforming people,

It is hard to base the number of waivers granted between the effective date of 2/21 for PP9983 and the suspension of the issuance of visas.

The total number of appointments scheduled are not know to us.

Here are the number of spousal visas issued this year:

Jan   CR1 43  IR1 62

Feb   CR1 111 IR1 71

Mar   CR1 33 IR1 30

Apr  and May had no data where other consulates still had CR and IR visas issued.

Thank you very much for putting these statistics out here. This sums it all. People just want to be negative and harsh when it comes to the Nigeria visa ban. They mislead people with the information they lack and don't even have. Spouses/ Beneficiaries from Nigeria, please keep your heads up and avoid the naysayers. Forge along and get your visas. Family separation is tough enough already. Coming here and getting negative vibes is sickening. We shall overcome.
