I would hate to be rushed because my GC is almost expiring and I don't have an extension NOA yet.

That's a valid point. On the other hand, I haven't used my GC once in the past 2 years,

so I don't really care if it expires.

True. I guess as long as USCIS receives your application before your GC expires, you will be okay.

One of the times at EWR he took it to one side and was trying to see something in the lights there,,,,,wonder if I wore it out! :whistle: Each time they always ask me so where is your husband? I tell them hes waiting for me in arrivals,,,if he isn't hes in big trouble! :thumbs:

I'm just wondering though if the extension letter will show both my and my son's names. He will soon be applying for his Lvl 2 driver's license and we're not sure if they will ask to see his (soon to expire) GC again or if his learner's permit is enough.

Hi again everyone. I have been patiently waiting for my check to be cashed by Nebraska (almost a month since I sent in my application) and woo hoo it is showing on my bank account at last. I clicked on the check image and found that the back has been stamped by California Svc Centre. Do you think we have been transferred there again??? Can't wait to get my NOA1 to find out. Has anyone else looked at the back of their check?

Isn't it incredible how we get so excited over money taken out of our bank accounts? :lol:

Yes, that was the first thing I did when I saw the check had cleared ... pulled up the image and checked for a service center number. Sure enough, it showed WACxxxxxxxxxx. So, yes, your file was transferred to and received at the CSC. Here's hoping for a quick processing for all of us!

Just wondering,

When speaking to someone about all this immigration stuff they told me, and was just wodering if anyone else thought the same, that the whole year (from 2004 until 2005) that I waited for my conditional green card to be processd that that would count toward my citiizenship application, inclusive of my conditional green card and my one year waiting for it that that is the 3 years? anyone else hear that?

I am waiting for my husband to call the line and ask as I know if I call they won't understand what Im saying

Unfortunately, that's not true. The three year requirement for eligibility to naturalize starts from the date the first green card is granted. So, the basis will be the Resident Since date.

Gemma, as far as I understand it, the three years for citizenship start counting from the date of your first conditional greencard. In fact I read somewhere here that you can apply even if your lifting of conditions hasn't been approved by the time the 3rd anniversary comes around.

Aug 15 I-751 sent to Nebraska

Sep 14 NOA1 rec'd, transferred to CSC again

Sep 21 rec'd bios appt for 9/28/07

Jan 26 2008 Approved. 10 Yr card received 1/28/08.

Naturalization 2008

Sep 8 N-400 sent to Nebraska

Sep 11 Priority date

Oct 7 Biometrics

July 10 2009 - Interview, approved!

Aug 20 Oath ceremony
