I-601 Vaccine Exemption K-1 Visa

My fiance and I will be filing for AOS soon, but I am confused about I-601. we want to file the vaccine waiver for moral and religious purposes. we have heard about a good lawyer named Alan Phillips and we plan on hiring him..

 

 but I want to ask on here first about I-601.

 

 

in what order does I-601 needs to be filed?

 

1. before  I-485

 

2. with  I-485

 

3. after  I-485 is submitted

What is your plan if the waiver is not approved?   My advice:  Just get the vaccines.......otherwise, you put yourself and others at risk......just my opinion.

I'd do whatever the lawyer says since that is the road you have chosen.  Personally, and as an immunocompromised human, I'd first consider getting a titer to see if the immunities already exist and the consider getting  the upto 3 (or 4 if flu season) vaccines if not immune.  After all it just you and your spouse that is being protected but everyone you come in contact with.

With the I485. If your waiver is denied your adjustment of status will be denied as well.

One alternative if the waiver is not approved would be to abandon AOS and return to one's home country.

You are correct.  It seems to me that the only 2 legal options would be (1)Get the vaccines anyway or (2)Return to home country.......
