The amount I had before was $30,000, which does meet minimum income requirements for a household of 2, so I’m not quite sure why they put that note on my case at NVC. I guess they were basing off my 2019 taxes when I was still working as a grad assistant prior to starting my internship for the 1st half of 2019. When I initially filed the I-864, I was making 30,000 through my internship prior to my graduation. I already was offered the position and knew I was going to be taking my current job, but obviously hadn’t started yet as I work in the schools , so I didn’t have any kind of proof/documentation of my current employment at that time. I am hoping my signed contract stating my pay and my pay slips that show my pay and Net/gross income will be sufficient.

If you didn’t upload 6 months  most recent pay slips (as indicated in instructions) to prove $30k, then they have to go by tax return. If you did, then sometimes NVC just can’t be bothered to figure it out.

I uploaded all of my pay slips since August of 2019 to May of 2019 when I filed, so I would assume that they just couldn’t be bothered to figure it out

Hi all, Quick question:

We have just received our interview date 🎉. Booked medical and organised courier.

During this time my Wife has just moved into a new property.....We have the old apartment listed on all our previous forms

Do we need to update NVC on the address change??

(Not sure as we already have an interview date, and assume NVC probably aren't the right people to tell...)

If we do need to tell anyone, any clues on who to tell / how to tell them?

I answered this same question  23 hours ago in this very thread.

Not sure this is the right forum, but we're prepping for our interview in a few weeks, and something confused me.  I read that after you've been approved at the interview you receive a packet, that you're not supposed to open till you arrive in the US.  Is this still true?  Has other folks received this after the interview?

Depends on the consulate.  If the file is all "electronic" and entered into the CCDB then you just get your passport back.  If it is a paper file, the passport and POE packet are in a plastic bag.  You open the plastic bag and use your passport to enter and present the packet at the POE.

Yeah I had exactly the same situation. Had enough in the current income field -does meet the requirements. But the 2019 Tax transcript doesn't show all the income as some part of it was non taxable. I bet they only looked at the transcript, and that's why they sent the message to us about not meeting requirements. We also uploaded W-2 with the 2019 Tax transcript  which shows total income, but I don't think they bothered to check it.

As per advise on this forum - we just uploaded my husband's LES for this year so far and letter from his superior telling the income as well.

My husband just interviewed in London and we received the paper packet in the post with his passport and visa.   But we did DCF and did not uploaded any of our docs to CEAC as we didn't go through NVC at all, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Those who have been to your interview and medical, (particularly those in London) where did you get your US-size passport photos taken? I am struggling to find a place.

The photo booths in train stations or supermarkets have the option for US size (or they used to)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

Shouldn’t  you bring the same one as the one which was submitted with DS260 form?

Mine were different

Really? I shall have to check that out! I haven't used a normal passport photo booth in the UK for over a decade so that didn't occur to me! That would be the easy way, for sure.
