We got DQ'ed June 17th, does anybody have an idea when we should expect to be scheduled for interview. It has been really frustrating waiting without any form of communication from NVC, last time I check case was still at NVC.

it’s typically the first thursday of the month, however since this week the 1st also happens to be the thursday we don’t expect to hear anything unless next week. those of us, like myself, from the june dq’s should ideally hear next week. fingers crossed.

The embassy’s list is here on their website. Most of your documents were already submitted to NVC so they have digital copies, but they will need to see the civil documents with their own eyes, ie birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate.....

Many thanks Wuozopo 👍

You have to wait outside, unless you are the applicant or one of the applicants you aren't allowed inside (this is due to COVID)

There is a cafe outside! I didn't try it but theres also a lot of places to sit down so I wouldn't necessarily worry.

Good to know - many thanks.

My husband just phoned from outside the embassy to say his visa was approved!!

I posted this in the DCF threads, but thought I would check here too.  They didn't give him a packet to hand over at POE.  Is that a problem?  I had the impression he needs that. Although I was aware that it is sometimes done electronically.

If you scanned and uploaded your docs during the application process you won't get the big white envelope as the immigration officer at your POE will be able to access them online.  The visa will have "IV DOCS IN CCD" written on it in the annotation.  Congrats on the approval!

Thanks for that.  We actually did not scan or upload anything as we did consular filing with USCIS London before it closed.  He physically took everything with him to the embassy and they took the forms and copies of things like marriage certificates and birth certificates.  Will wait till the passport comes back, I guess, and see what it says 😬

Just been approved too! Waiting at the train station to head back home.

Think I might have met your partner... If he saw someone give him way at the entrance- that was me! (Might not have been 😂).

It was a pretty smooth although nerve-racking process. Will put up a review later. So happy the main part is over! Now to get the passport in hand and to book the long awaited flight HOME to the husband.

Good luck to those waiting!

They aren’t through with your documents yet. There are still security checks, issuing the visa, etc. If you have paper files as a DCF, then your sealed white envelope for POE comes back with your passport inside a mailing wrapper. You can discard the wrapper, but leave the white envelope sealed.

Oh, that's really good to know.  Thanks @Wuozopo!! I was panicking a bit, but that completely makes sense  And I will make sure we don't open the white envelope!! 😁

Yes and yes

It always says ready after interview, then will change to AP and Issued in no particular time frame. They have been fast lately presumably because not issuing many visas, so no big queue.

It seems the trend lately has been no courier notification though. I didn’t get one and I know a few others did not either.

Thank you, hopefully next week will come with good news.

Just a quick warning to anyone who has an interview upcoming or is expecting to have one booked soon.

I noticed a lot of people asking if they need financial documents, they didn't ask for mine. (At the interview itself) One person even offered to give them the documents and the man realized his mistake. I know it's shocking but don't make it harder on yourself. Bring the documents but just give them what's asked for

Tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary. So when we get through the quagmire of delays hopefully we won’t have to go through the absolute faff of remove of conditions. Some good news for the long delays I guess!!! :D

Congrats.  When I went for my interview it was a couple months after our 2 year and they made the adjustments at the embassy during the interview.  All the best.
