I went in on Monday and by Tuesday they called and told me to pick it up - Normally my doctors office seems to run by the "You want it when" attitude but this was less than 24. In 48 Hrs I had the extra statement which cost me £10.80

Remember to also get your Vaccine list, too.

Matt

My doctors is the same

they said just call when I need it and they will email it to me. I need a letter about anxiety though as that’s current.

And of course vaccinations

From the category of "Might as well get it outta the way". When you go for your medical it appears they want a copy of your Medical Summary from your GP. Just called our GP and looks like it can take up to a week or better sometimes to get this. We needed to make the request in writing including the reason for the Summary and deliver it to the GP office where they would begin processing it and we should get it next week.

Each surgery differs so much. I’ve run across people in this forum that had a three week out “telephone appointment” just to request what they wanted, not to mention the time it took to fill that request. Some give immunizations free and some charge.

Amen! My partner switched surgeries to another one in the neighboring catchment (They are maybe half a mile apart, geographically) because he knew one of the GPs there and she recommended it, but his old one was so much less bureaucratic and would let you stop in for letters and things.  Somehow this is still more simple than navigating medical care in America!

Luckily all up to date on vaccines so its just the MH letter and medical summary. He has access to one he can print off online, but I asked him to also have it sent by the GP just be to super safe since this online Medical Summary was unfamiliar to some of the other VJers.

When I booked my medical I asked about the online summary and online vaccinations list being acceptable and they told me they were.  That said I have asked my doc to pull off my vaccinations just to be on the safe side so I'll ask them about the summary on Friday when I pick up the vaccination print off.

I got a "travel" appontment in my surgery to get the jabs ( i have no records), wich means it takes a month....

Told them everything I need so hopefuly they dont look surprised when I ask them.

If you’ve had chickenpox, then you only need two jabs. After Oct 1, it’s three (flu season starts).

DCF Filers... I received my LND number today from the embassy in London - but when trying to book an appointment at the embassy it says "There are no available appointments at the selected location. Please try again later." Does anyone know how often they release new appointments? Thanks kindly.

I cannot say for sure as DCF is different however when I went to register my appointment there was a few days lag before it showed up and let me confirm.

Could be the same, I could be wrong.

I was checking daily and on the 15th of the month I managed to find some appointments.  This was in May.  BTW, I was checking at Midnight and 8am and when I actually found an appointment it was around 10am, so it didn't appear to me that at midnight they open up appointments, so may be worth checking a couple of times a day.

Those who have received their documents back did you have this:

Your item tracking number is: XXXXXXX

Your item will be available to collect from your chosen DX collection point from the date below

Date: 14-08-2020

I have requested home delivery and it states that on the appointment website.  To be fair, it has just come through via email today so potentially it will update on the site, or does it say that regardless?

Many thanks

any may or june DQ movement yet? 🙃

Nothing at all. I'm gonna try not to get too crazy about it and also not get my hopes up.

So how is everyone doing in this heatwave in England? Is Scotland getting it too? I saw the flooding and awful train tragedy on the news! My DH and I FaceTime regularly and he is really struggling with the heat. Told him to get a fan, so at least the (hot) air is moving around. Oh, and to stay hydrated.

Very sad about the train derailment. The weather in Edinburgh has been warmer than usual, but far from unbearable - just some nice summer days really, mixed with an awesome thunderstorm the other night!
