Overjoyed to see such happy messages from everyone today. Really has made a rather bleak Monday morning better after celebrating yet another birthday away from my husband this weekend.

Congratulations everyone and thank you for sharing your good news with us all.

I'm still right here with you, patiently waiting :) roll on July DQ dates!

Haha... I wish we had done dcf.... Been waiting over a year now. 😅

We weren't sure we would be able to get our application in on time but we just made it. What's killing me, is our approval letter stated our LDN number would be sent to us within 5 weeks. :(

Yeah its crazy... But at least there is some movement. It helps not trying to second guess them. Good luck

Hello, and congratulations to those who have interviews!

Me (UK citizen) and my wife (US citizen) were DQed back in May.

However, we have since added a joint sponsor to meet the minimum income requirement.

When the joint sponsor is accepted, will our DQ be the original May date or the new date that the joint sponsor is accepted?

Thanks very much!

How were you DQ if you didn't meet the income requirement before? Or have circumstances changed?

I'm not sure if it would be worth re-uploading, instead of just presenting everything at the interview instead. For them to go back into the file I imagine that means it'll be back in the queue and can't be sent to the embassy before then?

We received the DQ email when our case was accepted in CEAC.

We also received this message that appeared as a "Case FE review note":

[Sponsor] does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted. FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial sponsors, joint sponsors, and applicants should be aware of responsibilities when signing an I-864 and the consequences for a sponsored immigrant's acceptance of federal means-tested public benefits. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos.

So, rather than risk continuing without a joint sponsor, we have added one into CEAC.

Based on what you've said, it sounds like we'll be moved to the back of the queue and given a new DQ email/DQ date?

As an additional question, would this be grounds for expediting?

Thank you very much!

Hmm, I'm not certain! Other people might have more experience with this specific scenario. From that review note it sounds as though they won't be doing anything more with it now you are DQ, but the embassy will be expecting you to present joint sponsor info at interview? The "avoid delays" line might indicate that you can upload it now so that they will be aware of the info ahead of time and won't just send you away from interview with a further request?

I'm just making assumptions here though so I might be completely wrong. Hopefully your May DQ date sticks as it's likely we'll be getting our interview date soon, as I have seen a VJ member with 1st May DQ and a non-expedited interview at end of September.

CEAC is accessible by NVC and the embassy. They are both under the same parent umbrella, Department of State. I think you are DQ and just waiting for interview assignment. I think they were saying take it up with the interviewer, but go ahead and upload a joint sponsor ahead of time if you like.

Expedite because your spouse failed to make enough money for you to get a visa? I don’t think so.

I have a question about the interview in London ( CR/IR).

I submited a metric sh#t ton of evidence of the bonafides ( photos and flights) and I am wondering if I need to print all that again for the interview, or can I just print some new evidence since the aplication?

London will not want to see any evidence of bonafide relationship at the interview. ZERO.  They never have for fiancés or spouses. They will glance at whatever is in your petition file, but are generally not bothered.

Expedite because we are already DQ but hypothetically pushed back due to adding a joint sponsor into CEAC.

From the sounds of things, adding the optional joint sponsor into CEAC won't impact our DQ date, anyway.

Thank you!
