Not yet, still says at NVC... Did yours change from at "NVC" to "Ready" or was there something in-between? I'm on hold with the NVC right now hoping they can give us some insight. We tried to book an appointment on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv  in hopes that maybe there was a glitch and it just didn't change over but it said the case was not ready yet.

It should show as "in transit" when it leaves NVC, then it will show as "ready" when it reaches London and an appointment is able to be booked.

Did it let you book an appointment on the website? I've heard the system won't let you book unless your case is at the embassy, however I was able to book mine on Friday while my case was still showing as "in transit" so maybe there has been some sort of glitch with CEAC?

Woooo this is reassuring news!!! I do hope that means CR1's stuck at the NVC will get some dates soon. Tomorrow will be the 3rd week since I got DQ.

All the best! Matt

We were DQ'd on March 31st.  Feels like an age since then...so pleased to see this update.  Hopefully things will start to move now.

I absolutely will.  I'm glued to the forum waiting to see if anyone else sees movement before us - any movement is progress!

Has there been any movement yet? My case was approved for expedite on the 16th too and it left NVC the same day, and is now "ready" in London as of this morning.

If yours still hasn't left NVC yet it might be worth giving them a ring to try and hurry things along a bit.

Woke up to my case finally being "in transit". Got through to the NVC after about and a half on hold yesterday, the first thing the guy said was "Shall we see what's happened here?" Which leads me to think that someone may have forgotten to send the case or something.

So if its been a few days since you were approved for an expedite and it hasn't left the NVC I definitely think it helps to call.

Glad that it's finally on the move! Good thing you called and the person who picked up was helpful

Hopefully it gets to London soon and once ceac says "ready" you'll be able to book an interview date! 😊

I've been periodically checking this forum for updates and I am glad I found it.

I can see that many people are in the same boat, but I don't know how many have had cases that were transferred to interview in London from a prior location since moving.

Is there anyone else here still waiting for their case to be sent from NVC to London Embassy who had to change interview locations?

My spouse's case IR1/CR1 started in early 2018, sent to NVC in early 2019 and finally became documentarily qualified during COVID at the end of May this year. (still unsure how to update this timeline yet).

I'm glad we have news of some immigration services on July 27th, but it leaves me wondering how long NVC cases will take to get there.

Also,  I received a reply from my congressman during COVID a few months ago regarding timeline's for the Embassy to receive cases. I don't know if any have been sent to the Embassy that are not expedited since the lockdown in London started, however this is the response I received back in early June.

"All routine consular processing for both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas are suspended. It takes 6-8 weeks for the Embassy to receive your file. Once it is there they will process it, but cannot schedule an interview until consular services are back up. There is not a date for that as it depends on location. The Embassy will email you a notice once the interview has been scheduled."

I'm hopeful as others are that we will here more good news soon.

Nothing has been sent to NVC during lockdown. Things should start moving next week 🤞🏻🤞🏻

A comment on what the congressman said which is a little incorrect. It reads like the case has to get to London first  and London will give out the interview date.

Your interview date will be assigned by the NVC while the case is still at NVC. Then NVC will immediately forward the case to London. While London is closed, they don’t have any slots open for interviews except for a few expedites and other high priority visas. So NVC has to hold your case in the US until London opens up more interviews. The 6-8 weeks timeline for a case to remain at NVC is invalid while most activity in London is suspended. July 27 has been announced as the day the embassy will “open”. Because employment visas, fiance visas, and tourist visas seemed to have been put on the back burner, it appears maybe the embassy will work through spouse and student visas first. Time will tell because it’s a bit uncertain right now. If all the processing of your case by NVC is complete (referred to as DQ or documentarily qualified) then you are in the queue (with many others), waiting for NVC to be able to schedule your interview date.  Only then will the file cross the pond to await you attending the interview.

So if there is a month notice period from the 27th, they will in theory only start march/April dq appointments end August... And so forth? Still trying to get some sort of timeline.

That's the working theory but we don't know what their backlog is, how many cancelled interviews that were originally set for during lockdown have to be rescheduled still, expedite interviews etc etc.  At this point in time your best timeline is "play it by ear".  I think we're all holding thumbs for Monday and hoping to see movement.
