Yep we were DQ'd back in March and today they said based on the info provided I should book my interview.  That said, following jarrod679's suggestion I used the ceac case checker to see what it said and it says my case is at NVC.  So it may all be a storm in a tea cup.  I've emailed the Embassy to get confirmation that they've received my case so will update when I hear back.  Hoping for a response today but it's almost 4.30 on a Friday so may not get lucky...

Interesting! I sent an enquiry to the embassy a couple days ago and just received the stock answer of copy paste of their FAQ page without answering my question.

Hopefully yours is going to be forwarded from NVC - this would be positive news for non expedited cases!

please keep us updated!!

Wow, that’s fantastic! Fingers crossed this is the start of the Embassy’s being able to process routine CR1/IR1 cases. Best of luck for your interview.

Could you kindly let me know where to find the CEAC case tracker app please? Typed into App Store and nothing matched! Thank you!

Emailed the Embassy this morning to inquire about where exactly our case was since there have been conflicting answers and received this response:

Thank you for your email. If you are applying for an immigrant visa as the spouse or child of a U.S. citizen (IR-1, CR-1, IR-2 or CR-2) or for an E-3 visa, or writing on behalf of someone applying for such a visa, please answer the following questions:

  1. What is the full name of the visa applicant(s)? Please provide the name(s) in the format SURNAME(S), Given Name(s)?

  2. What is the full name of the petitioner? Please provide the name in the format SURNAME(S), Given Name(s)?

  3. If you are not the visa applicant or petitioner, please confirm your relationship to the applicant and confirm if Form G-28 has been filed.

  4. What is the immigrant visa case number, if known? (typically LND followed by ten digits)

  5. Was the petition filed with the USCIS Field Office in London or with USCIS in the United States?

  6. What date was the petition approval notice received?

  7. Is the case currently with the National Visa Center (NVC)?

  8. If you have been notified that the file has been forwarded to the Embassy in London, on which date was it send?

  9. Has the visa applicant electronically submitted the application Form DS-260?

  10. Has the visa applicant gathered all the applicable supporting documents? See https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/required-documents/

  11. Has each visa applicant undergone a medical with the Embassy's panel physician in London? If so, on which date did the examination take place?

  12. Has an interview appointment been booked for you by NVC or through the Visa Appointment Service? Please briefly give details of any booked or cancelled appointment dates.

  13. Does the visa applicant have urgent need of travel to the United States? Please give brief details.

We will begin reviewing your request as soon as we receive this information.  While we appreciate the urgent nature of your request, we cannot give a timeframe for the review nor offer status updates while the review is in process. We process cases as expeditiously as possible. Rest assured that we will inform you of the outcome by email as soon as we can.

Responded to their email and within seconds received a generic response back... so, not really sure if they’ve received it or it’s fallen by the wayside. I am happy that they responded however.

I used this: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx - just type ceac case tracker into google and its the first result.

I followed it and it’s saying my case is still at NVC. Not surprising as my DQ was only 2 days ago. I filed electronically so I can only assume, pre-COVID, it would of been sent to London embassy right away?

Do you mind sharing which embassy you’re at? Many thanks!

You actually sent off an expedite request to NVCExpedite@state.gov ?

Once that got okayed for me, it took a few days for my case to change from "at NVC" to "ready"

I got notified by email too that my case was at London.

We differ slightly, you expedited before being DQ. I did it after. I did enquire before I DQed, but NVC said they could do nothing then, but to try again later.

I would be emailing NVC expedite again chasing this up and asking them to forward documents to London. The Embassy won’t help you if your case is stuck in America at NVC

Good luck!

That tracker gives the same status as logging into your case on CEAC where you uploaded your documents. From what I can gather, the status will stay at "at NVC" until we get an interview date scheduled.

You're in the UK subforum so we're all going through London embassy :)

Gotcha! I wonder if it’s worth emailing the embassy ‘just incase’ it’s stuck at NVC stage, as per the previous poster...?

Haha, yes we are, sorry- I follow so many forum threads it’s hard to keep up!😅

You can try but we're all in the same boat of being stuck at the NVC at the moment, since embassies aren't being very clear on when normal appointments will start. Only expedited cases at London have had interviews so far. My own case has been waiting for an interview date since 22nd May, and there's some other people in this thread waiting since March and April. I believe when they start scheduling routine ones, they do it in approval date order.

You are better off contacting NVC, it's currently their problem.

London will just refer you to https://uk.usembassy.gov/information-for-nonimmigrant-visa-applicants-following-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/ or not even reply.
