Disputing K1 Visa Interview Cancellation

Just wondering if anyone who had their K1 Visa interview for July/August canceled due to the "Proclamation Suspending Entry of Immigrants Who Present Risk to the U.S. Labor Market..." had contacted the embassy for further information or understanding of their decision?

I called the embassy this morning and was referred to contact the immigrant visa team by email. I'm asking because I met an individual who also had her interview canceled by another embassy, but upon replying to the embassy and highlighting the pertinent areas of the EO that indicated her case was an exemption, the particular embassy ended up scheduling her.

I wonder if it is worth it to do the same with pointing out the nonimmigrant, nonworking visa classification of the K1?

Some non-immigrant categories were included today when the suspension was extended to Dec 31. No mention of K1 as included or exempted.  It’s an odd visa that doesn’t ever fit in anywhere.

We've had two cancelled already. After the second one was cancelled, I rescheduled for the next day. Been checking my email for another cancellation.

He's scheduled for July 9th (Thursday) and has a medical scheduled on June 25th (Thursday). The medical was already scheduled before the last cancellation. He tried calling today to ask about the medical and they didn't answer.

Praying we can finally finish this loooong process by being together forever and not apart anymore.

We were also scheduled for July 9th and received a cancellation email on Friday.  That same night we were able to reschedule for July 29th and still have that appointment as of now. I'm hoping they keep it but I am reaching out to the embassy for further clarification rather than wait in vain for another possible cancellation.

Good luck on getting an answer, but please share what they say if you get through.

Thank you. He cancelled the medical for now. Waiting to find out if they’re gonna cancel his interview again.

That’s crazy!! Hoping our interviews go through. After all that we’ve been through on this journey, ugh...so worth it to be together though.
