On Feb 26 received noa-2 approval that case was being forwarded  to NVC. Since then haven't received anything else and my USCIS approval expires June 26. I've emailed both NVC and USCIS and no response. Any thoughts? I'm assuming that covid is responsible  but with no contact hard to say. I am hoping I dont need to reapply. Again, any thoughts?

If you are at the NVC you just have to wait for them to send it to the consulate once they re-open.   Nothing much you can do.

Although there's been no official statement of a standard State Department policy, I think a few consulates have published statements saying they were automatically extend petitions that are delayed due to COVID-19 and it's extremely likely the rest will.

Have you called NVC?

I never got any useful answers from emailing NVC. Plus, I haven't checked in a while, but they may still be backed up on answering emails.

It is much better to call to get info and make sure your case is ok if you are concerned.

Wish you the best on your case

There is no need to call NVC. The case file is in good hands. No need to check. When the embassies contact NVC to send the records and it than has shipped the petitioner will get the snail mail notification with the case number.

Thanks all. I was just nervous because my approval from uscis is about to expire.

It will be extended.  There is no reason for NVC to ship approved petitions to embassies while no interviews are being conducted.

So sorry, I wrote something irrelevant earlier because I thought you were going through the CR/IR1 process. Anyhow, best of luck!

Im waiting on them to acknowledge receipt.

While you wait we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Everybody is in the same boat. My fiancé needs to interviewed by mid July in Bogota, but our paperwork is being held by the NVC since the embassy is closed. So I assume because of the Covid-19 everybody will automatically get extended (they do 4 month extensions). My fiancé is stuck here In the USA on her B2 Visa and We just applied for an extension (cost $455.00 bucks) so that’s going to really determine if we can continue with the K-1 process or roll the dice and get hitched before her B2 visa runs out. This whole thing sucks......
