L1B visa few days before 1 year?

Hi all,

 

I’m working for American company in the US since 21/07/2019.

 

I started an internal discussion with a US manager and interview by him.

it looks like they will offer me the job. However, I’m working in this company 11 months exactly :( and not 12 yet.

 

will it matters difference of few days? (I guess it will take my company some time before they process it with USCIS)

Your company will take a while to do the paperwork.   Months.

Oh wow.. I’ve been told that the process takes 8 weeks

so I guess that will take 8 weeks from the moment of when the make the application.

that true for large corporate as well?

It depends on the company of course.  But 8 weeks sounds right. I would guess 1-3 months at a big company. 
 

Of course if leadership pushes HR to push the lawyers it will get done faster, maybe in days if it’s high priority. Really the paper work isn’t that complex, but there is probably a lot of back and forth between the lawyer and HR.   I applied for L1A so there was a lot of back and forth in regard to my title and the org chart.

from when it counts “1 year” from the interview? Or from when the lawyers prepare documents ?
