Are medical reports still being assessed at the embassy?

Hey guys,

I'm sure no one can really answer with certainty but I've got to ask anyway. I had my medical completed about a month and a half ago. I was supposed to have my visa interview on July the 9th which has now been pushed back as have many other k1 visa applicants.

My question is that there were two single incidents of admitted weed use years in my past and there's always the potential for me to be denied because of that. I assumed I was fairly safe because I haven't heard from anyone in that month and a half period since my medical. But is it likely that simply no one's seen my medical report yet and I may well still get that denial letter coming through?

Thanks

You won't have heard anything yet, because a decision (yes/no) on your application will not be made until after an interview.  Very unlikely anyone has touched your petition or medical yet.

Edit:  in other words, an inadmissibility for past drug use would be determined at the interview, not before.

Nobody at the London IV unit views your file ahead of time. Your DS-160 and medical report sit gathering dust until you are present at an interview. Lots of people have admitted weed and got a visa in London. The medical exam would have further tested your Urine to determine if you are clean now. That is not routinely done unless you admit to previous use. If that was okay, the use many years ago should not be reason for denial.
