Hey everyone!

About a week ago, I got an update online saying that my I601 case was received at my local office.

As far as I know, I601s are only processed at the Nebraska office. Does anyone have any idea why my case could have been transferred to my local field office?

Background:

- I am applying for AOS from within the US

- AOS interview in June 2019

- RFE requesting for I601 in September 2019

- RFE rebuttal plus I601 submission Dec 2019

- I601 receipt received Dec 2019

- I485 transferred from local field office to Nebraska in January 2020, transfer notice received in the mail in the same month.

Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!
