What had Trump done in the past three years that is so bad for this country?

I am happy to answer.  I won't even go back three years.  And I will give him points for having a really good economy.  I will give credit where credit is due.  But in current times he has totally botched the handling of the coronavirus pandemic.  He mishandled it in the beginning and he is mishandling it now.  Florida and other states are reporting record numbers of new cases.  And still he says it is "dying out".  He holds a mass rally in the middle of a pandemic in a state and county where they have increasing states.  If he had acted earlier perhaps many people would not have died.  But he made light of it right up until we had a disaster on our hands and had to shut down.  

 

And then there is the protests going on in this country right now.  What we needed was a president to bring us all together.  Trump is of the "us vs. them" mentality.  The protesters are looters, thugs, and low-life.  He used force on peaceful protesters in DC so he could go have a photo op.  He could have used this opportunity to help heal the nation and bring us back together.  But all he is doing is pushing us farther apart.

 

Ok those are a couple of things.  But what I really don't like is him as a person and as a president.  He LIES about everything.  Little things, big things, it doesn't matter, he just lies.  If he said it was daylight I would have to go outside and confirm it myself.  He is a racist.  Look at him last night calling the coronavirus "kung flu".  I don't want a president who uses racial slurs.

No that is not my only reason to hate Trump - although it is certainly reason enough.  I will go all the way back to 2016 when he was campaigning for president.  These are things I personally heard him say on television:  I want to put a stop to all Muslims coming into this country.  The people coming into this country illegally are murderers and rapists.  If you want to just grab a woman by the *&#*#.  These things show you what kind of person he is right there.  Oh and I forgot - he wanted all Muslims in this country to have to register for something.  Basically he wanted a listing of all Muslims in this country.  As a Muslim, that did it for me right there.  He got in office and found he couldn't do these things.  But he wanted to.  He is simply not a good person and I don't want him as my president.  I give him good marks for having a good economy for a while.  But that is it.  
I know many of you on here love Trump.  That is your right.  I won't change your mind - you won't change mine.  But I am glad we can have these discussions.  And we can all have our final say at the polls.

The things you claim you heard him say, interestingly enough, are almost entirely fabrications, when not outright caricatures. One of those things was somewhat accurate, except he didn't say them on television, he said them in private while unknowingly being recorded, and no one can say with an iota of proof whether or not it actually means anything. What has helped solidify support for Trump, despite some obvious incompetence problems, is that he's largely done what he said he would do, and he seems to piss off the right people, as evidenced by their inability to rationally oppose him politically. That irrationality clearly stems from personal animus, where no one can take a dump without it demonstrating something awful, is proudly proclaimed, but it doesn't help your cause any. No one should "love" or "hate" a President. As voters, we are the President's oversight, his boss. He needs our approval. The worst thing imaginable as a boss is to have this sort of exaggerated personal love/hate bias toward someone they're supposed to be evaluating. It bears out terribly for an employment environment, and certainly does for political environment as well. 

 

The left also clearly fail to grasp that if it wasn't for them, their neocon buddies, and rogue bureau/administrative state NeverTrumpers, the populace at large would be paying more attention (directed) to Trump's actual performance, and the way he acts, the things he says, etc. would stand out on their own, and likely attain far more criticism. Thanks to the nuttery of these segments of the population and the threat they pose, it's them who stand out instead. They can thank themselves for how much more this adds to the appeal of a Trump Presidency.

Other than his pandering to the religious right, he is one of the more moderate Repubs in my lifetime.

 

He has certainly  been slower to start conflicts than any president in history. Remember when he didn't respond with force to Iran shooting down the drone.

 

He reformed the Clinton and Biden era bill that atrget black criminals (super predator bill)

 

He has withdrawn troops

 

He has increased funding to Black colleges

His economic policies have blacks in the best economic shape in history

He has re negotiated awful trade deals

Me and a buddy just talking about the same thing. I do think Trump needs to be a little more professional, but still destroy him. No name calling etc
