Fox News poll: Biden's lead widens to 12 points over Trump

Former Vice President Joe Biden has opened up a 12 point lead over President Trump in the latest Fox News national poll, as a majority of voters say they disapprove of the president’s handling of the protests in response to the police killing of George Floyd.

The survey finds Biden at 50 percent and Trump at 38 percent. Biden led Trump 48 to 40 in the Fox News poll in mid-May. The former vice president has surpassed the 50 percent support mark in the RealClearPolitics average, where he leads Trump nearly 9 points overall.

Do you think he's going to send them a cease and desist letter too like his lawyer did to CNN when he didn't like their poll?

I'm sure he's going to double down, 'cause that's what he does. Whether it works or not this time is probably the big question. Lot's of time left I guess.

Still if half of Americans think Biden has dementia, then it is a little disconcerting that so many people think a president with dementia would be a better choice than what we already have. However that's probably the reality we have arrived at.

Yeah, but that poll was from Zogby, which means ... well, 538 says Zogby is garbage, basically.

These polls don’t mean anything. During 2016 elections, Hillary was “leading” also in all polls

Been there, done that.

Not worried at all, it's a flawed methodology aimed at both demoralizing and galvanizing Trump supporters.

Sure and the final FOX poll before the election correlated very well with the popular vote. The methodology flaw with all polls is that they are essentially a popularity contest, not an indication of who will win the electoral college. However showing us that a challenger with many many flaws is more popular than the incumbent does show us something.

Well they do mean something at some point, but not 5 months out. We saw Clinton's numbers dropping over the last few weeks before the election which was an indication of things to come. The only poll that actually matters is the one on election day, but if one of the candidates has a 12% aggregate polling margin the day before the election, it's very unlikely that they lose.

Two things are needed for Biden to win.  His handlers need to keep him quiet and secluded, and he has to pick an outstanding VP that people feel is ready to become President very soon.
