What is the best document to provide when doing this? All pages of your passport or birth certificate? Also, what type of birth certificate do they accept? The short form or do they require the long form?

You can submit the biographic page of the passport - no need for all pages.....OR a legible photocopy of a certified copy of the BC.  My state doesn't have short/long forms, but I would imagine you would need the long form if it contains additional info.

If submitting a BC, you typically submit the one with parental information

YMMV

But I don't really need to worry about this as long as I submit a copy of my passport?

If both of your parents are US citizens and you were also born in the US, which box should you check on the form saying how you have citizenship?

Also, do you really need to make a copy of ALL the pages of your US passport to prove citizenship like it says in the K1 Fiance visa guide or do you just need the informational page?

Thank you!!

I’ve always used the ID page of my passport

Isn’t birth in the United States one of the boxes?  Check that one.  It trumps any and all categories lol

The majority of the Russian visa is also in English, so I don't think you need to get it translated. They are most interested in the entry and exit stamps and the dates/duration of the trip as that proves you actually went there.
