K1 Visa Issuance Affected by EO after all?

It’s already been stated in multiple places, multiple times, by multiple authoritative sources (embassies, senators, department of state) that the K1 is not affected by the April or June EO.

@Mods this thread should be closed to avoid spreading misinformation.

People are looking at this the wrong way and are worried about the wrong things.

Right now there are two things to be genuinely worried about when it comes to K-visas, or any visas for that matter, being issued.

First, there's the big one. Consulates being closed. Routine visa services have been suspended, as ordered by the President, and no one knows when they will reopen. The fact that they've designated some visas as mission-critical, points to them not opening any time soon. They could've reopened slowly while prioritizing certain visas, but they're specifically staying closed, while also working on some visas.

Secondly, there are travel bans. As the US is still seeing a rapidly rising number of cases, they're not going to lift those anytime soon. Why add more potential cases, when that's just going to add to the numbers and make things look even worse?
There are ways to avoid those bans by traveling to a third country but some, if not most, embassies have already told people that they won't actually issue any new visas until their specific ban is lifted.

Until K1 gets added to the list of mission-critical visas, we're not going anywhere soon. I also really don't see them being added to that list. K1 visa beneficiaries aren't really related to US citizens yet, and public opinion isn't in our favor. For a lot of people K1 is still synonymous with fake green card marriages and that weird tv show that keeps pumping out spin-offs.

Lol I know, I’m agreeing with you that it is affected by those two variables, but the person who had commented before me was still insisting K1 was included in the April and June proclamations which it has already been established it’s not, which is what I was referring to.

The topic is a question as to whether K1 visa issuance was affected by the EOs and the question has already been accurately answered.

Oh, I know, I'm just getting tired of the hundreds of threads about the EOs. If people want to create useless threads about things, they might as well create them about the right things.

100% agreed, the speculation really does more harm than good (coming from a chronic worrier).

I don't know, I'm super worried myself and I know I'm not going to ever stop worrying about things. It just sucks that people need to ask the same questions in every thread without doing any research. I kind of wish there was a thread with just a list of people who've successfully booked an appointment and attended it, once everything starts sort of opening up again, but I know that a thread like that would be literally impossible because it would just devolve into people asking if there was news about their local embassy.

This thread has been pretty good with providing only information from the embassies/updates from people on their own journeys and very minimal/no speculations. It says London, but people have been weighing in with emails and information they have received from other embassies.

Looking at May 2020 - the UK embassy processed the following NIV visa types. ( It does not look at though any K1's were processed in the UK ) See pic.

Take a look at the stats to gauge what your country was processing last month: https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Non-Immigrant-Statistics/MonthlyNIVIssuances/MAY 2020 - NIV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.pdf

Reread my posts in this thread. I've consistently said that K-1 is NOT subject to April 22 or June 22 PPs. The subsections I quoted where from the Schengen Area proclamation, which does affect most K-1 issuance and entry:
