Sent my I-485 (F2B case) but hasn't heard back yet

Hi,

I sent my F2B I-485 packet on June 3rd. Our lawyer used Fedex and confirmed that it was successfully delivered to USCIS on 4th. However, my check hasnt been cashed yet.

So, a few questions .

1. If I count weekends, it's been 15 days, but if I don't, its been 11 days. My lawyer told me to give it at least 10 days. Is this situation normal, even without the ongoing pandemic? I remember that it took 4 days for my mother - my petitioner and sponsor - to cash the check.

2. For those who sent I-485 packet before or after June 4th, how long did it take for the USCIS to cash the check?

3. Does USCIS send you a text message when it's accepted before I-797 comes?

4. Has anyone done interviews for AoS AFTER you filed with I-944?

Wait 30 days to contact them. They are not even close to fully staffed and I'm sure you can only imagine the petitions piled up ahead of yours. Your mothers petition was not during COVID.

I found the website more up to date than text or email.

No one has done AOS after I-944 because it only became required the last week of February and USCIS shut down approx 2nd week of March.

Hi there - Just be patient. I was in the same situation it took 3 weeks for to receive everything. They are king of slow but again everyone timeline is different. Also I was calling USCIS almost everyday as I was nervous. I would say from my experience it’s useless, they will give you more stress with inaccurate informations.
