Too much depressing news and controversy in CEHST lately so I decided to add this.

Oh yeah,  my town is #1!

If at first you don't succeed, then sky diving is not for you.

Someone stole my dictionary. Now I am at a loss for words.

If Apple made a car, would it have windows?

Ban shredded cheese. Make America Grate Again .

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Deport him and you never have to feed him again.

I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

I went bald but I kept my comb.  I just couldn't part with it.

My name is not Richard Edward but my friends still call me DickEd

If your pet has a bladder infection, urine trouble.

"Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow."

I fired myself from cleaning the house. I didn't like my attitude and I got caught drinking on the job.

My kid has A.D.D... and a couple of F's

Carrots improve your vision.  Alcohol doubles it.

A dung beetle walks into a bar and asks " Is this stool taken?"

Breaking news.  They're not making yardsticks any longer.

Hemorrhoids?  Shouldn't they be called Assteroids?

If life gives you melons, you might be dyslexic.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that may be why.

Dogs can't take MRI's but Cat scan.

I don't think this list is correct but I will be going to #57 on Sunday and I can't wait. But back to the list because #20 Myrtle Beach is a god awful beach now and nothing but a tourist trap for people coming from Ohio. It used to be pretty decent but that has since faded away. Now everyone I know goes to North Myrtle or another beach in NC/SC.

I've heard that too, but the drive takes too long.

Yep.  Went there many times when I was going to USC in Columbia back in the late '70s.  Haven't been back since but I imagine it has changed some.

Also used to go to Carolina Beach near Wilmington when my parents had a place there.  Wasn't much there back then.

Yeah, keep dreaming.  Affordability index off the chart.  So glad I left that place.

Where did you live in Santa Monica? I didn't know you had lived here. :)

I was born there, grew up a few years.  Just around the corner from the pier (in my mind... might be a bit farther in reality). My parents had an apartment that they used to pay $250 a month.  Last time I went there,  they were charging $1900  a month.  Crazy.

This is a biased study, not a single beach on the Great Lakes made the list.  Really?  Some of the beaches on Lake Michigan are amazing, I vote for Holland, MI.

We're about a mile northwest of the pier, near the library if that means anything to you.

$1900 is a bargain!! We are ... paying more than that. :P  Once he has finished his AOS and we know what our plans are (could still move back up north), we'll think about buying then.

Wait, you didn't scroll down far enough.  The first section was ocean beaches and the second separate section was for lake beaches.  FYI Traverse City was #1 and Holland was #4.  Very impressive.  I had an aunt and cousin that went to Hope college.  Ex-wife was from Sturgis MI and her parents grew up in Three Rivers.  As I recall most everyone in Holland MI is blonde!

I'm confused as to why OCMD isn't on this list, but these days it's not currently so safe which is a shame because I love the place. Also sad not to see the much quieter and still beautiful Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Bethany, and Dewey. I'm not that much a fan of Myrtle Beach, in my opinion it's better if you pay a few bucks to park at Apache Pier Campground and then you have a lovely stretch of the area to yourself...sit on the beach, watch the sharks, find shells, and walk the pier with tons of fishing. Huntington Beach State Park in SC is also great, though it is a rough natural  beach. The quite small Yorktown Beach in VA is nice especially with the Riverwalk and if you just want to sit and eyeball the crazy rich and famous too.
