I'm getting ready to submit my K-1 Visa petition for my Polish fiancée. I was putting together photos when I realized my most recent visit in 2019 is very lacking in diversity in terms of photos. I got more diversity in photos from my Summer 2018 visit, but some of those have lapsed and some are about to lapse the "proof you've met in person within 2 years of submitting" date.

So my question is, would it hurt to include photos that are older than 2 years in my packet? I intend to include photos from my 2019 trip, but I think some of my June 2018 (and before) photos help paint a more lively picture of our relationship.

Also, if anyone has successfully applied in Warsaw, how many photos did you include in your packet?

Photos are secondary evidence...if you lacking if photos try to used documents that prove you went on that trip to make up for it...You must have met within 2 years is the requirement but that is not to say you cant include evidence that you have know her for more than 2 years....Your whole packet should tell a story ,a realistic story...goodluck

It wouldn't hurt, but it might also not help. We only included like 5 pictures in total, since they are only secondary evidence.

Boarding passes or hotel receipts etc. of trips on which you saw each other are much better evidence.

Like the above poster said photos hold little weight- did you focus on your boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel reservations etc? I would submit the photos you have in 2019- unsure what you mean as the 2018 show more diversity.

In 2019, it's basically us hiking around the same forest and stream. Similar backdrops, and just the two of us alone. Her outfits are different, but I'm wearing the same heather gray and dark gray t-shirts in most photos. Just kinda too similar, you know what I mean?

For 2018, there's a lot more variety. Different locations, and my wardrobe (along with hers) is considerably different for each day. Plus, we have some pictures of us visiting her brother and sister-in-law, which for us two loners I think it helps considerably.

Thank you.

You are over thinking the process. Photos are secondary but just the same can slightly influence your process. The important documents are the receipts, boarding passes, tickets, and passport stamps. They hold the weight needed to reach an approval. We don't see RFE's for more pictures so it should not be a priority or a concern if you are in similar t-shirts in your photos. Just my experience.

Since the beneficiary is coming from Poland and it really isn't a difficult consulate just include one or two pages of scanned photos with captions of any.  Focus more on the passport pages with visas, boarding passes and receipts.

Photos are not required for the petition, nor do they "prove" anything, since the requirement is to have met once during the prior two years.

There is no 'ongoing relationship' component to the petition.
