Use his 1040 form. NVC will probably refuse to give you tax advice. Just use a copy of whatever he filed with the IRS. He can get tax transcripts from the IRS.

That’s the form that we already sent to them. We’re trying to get the transcripts and uploaded to see if that should be good with them.
thanks

self employed contractors are suppose to get a 1099 misc from main contractors

but if IRS accepted his tax returns,  your IRS transcripts are what you need

How will this help to sponsor both parents if (as you say in previous posts) you make less than the poverty guidelines for you,  husband, children and parents?

Did you find a cosponsor?

No. They’re asking for mine

then it would be 1099 misc from places you worked / all of them

when a company or person hires a subcontractor ,  they are obligated to provide a 1099 misc

go back and ask these companies for one if they did not provide it

if working for individuals like "small repair work for example"  then you would not have a 1099 misc but bills and receipts for your business along with busines licence,  business insurance coverage and quarterly estimated taxes paid into IRS that proves to IRS your business and income are recorded properly ,    so if IRS accepts and has completed tax returns,  that is what you need (IRS tranxscripts)

So the IRS transcripts would self explain why isn’t there w2 or 1099? I’m just trying to see if I don’t have to call them before I send it to explain that I don’t have the w2 or the 1099 wich is the only document they’re asking for since the rest of the documents already been approved

If you just sent a 1040 copy W2 has to accompany that document

IRS transcripts is better

Yes. Transcripts contain all irs forms and sections ... 1040

requires submission of all

separate forms that were completed for the 1040..

transcripts  are much simpler and complete

They can’t send a W2 if they don’t have one or aren’t eligible for one .. but using to 1040 does require the submission of all associated forms

That it’s what I been saying I don’t have w2 or 1099. I just sent the 1040 now they’re asking for w2 but I don’t have one. I just need to know if the transcripts would self explain everything to the point that they would understand that I don’t have what they’re asking for
