Same! Such a bummer waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep because you just got approved and are instantly hyped. Happened to me twice - my own I-485 and my hubbies I-130 4 years later 😄

i got one notice Sunday morning at 5AM

they  put this in the computer and let the machine spit them out one  at a time and therefore come at the oddest hours

can't sleep???? i was on the phone immediately to him so excited that something was finally happening after waiting months and years

should have seen me when the embassy emailed me that he was approved (before he got a chance to call me)

The case of the dammmn if they do something wrong and dammmmn that they do something right. Can't seem to please everyone. You can set your phone not to notify during certain hours, but you accept those people that you put on your list of callers to let through. I have mine set for 9pm to 6am and have all my children on the list of callers I will accept in the event they need to contact me. No one will wake me.

I should have turned the sarcasm mode on more clearly 🙃 of course approvals are welcome at any time. But thank you for sharing, I sincerely didn’t know that I can exclude callers from being silenced. Such a life changer!

If you have an account on uscis.gov you can change the settings so you receive text and/or email when there's an update to your case. If you haven't done that you won't receive any.

Yeah, I've tried this about, mmmmmmm 50-60 times so far lol all it ever does is reload the page and still states "Email Notifications": No / "Text Message Notifications": No.  lol I think I broke it

Make sure you actually check the box right in front of the receipt number before you choose email and/or texts. It took me a while to figure that out, smart as I am. But the website could also have a bug, it happens (God knows it has with the N-400 online application).

If you can't register for updates on the account, you can at least download a case tracker app on your phone that will give you notifications when there's an update on your case.

Btw, no text or emails either (yet) even though I filed the form g-1145 with my petition. Maybe though because I did not turn the Notification on at My USCIS.... idk

Yes the g-1145 is only for acceptance notices. That means you should've gotten a text or email back when they accepted your petition. After that the g-1145 won't work anymore.

USCIS is notorious about not sending an email notification even with a G-1145. Most don't receive an email but it's not typical not to receive a NOA1 or NOA2 by snail mail so keep an eye out for those. BTW you do not need a the NOA's for any part of any process moving forward so don't go crazy trying to figure out why you didn't receive one.
