Approval on USICS site

Hello,
I just checked the USCIS CAST STATUS site and it says that our I129F file was approved today, but I did not received any text or email... is this normal?

We received texts even at midnight and 5am.

If you have an account on uscis.gov you can change the settings so you receive text and/or email when there's an update to your case. If you haven't done that you won't receive any.

I do have an account on this site https://myaccount.uscis.gov/
i tried checking there but that site does not have any update it still says we received your case..
I checked here and it says it was approved https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Yup, tomorrow it will be on MyUSCIS as well. I saw our approval on egov the day before it appeared on MyUSCIS and was concerned that it was an error 😬

Same! Such a bummer waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep because you just got approved and are instantly hyped. Happened to me twice - my own I-485 and my hubbies I-130 4 years later 😄

The first website (also know as "the new website") never updated for me this far. I was approved for my ROC in mid April and that page still says it's processing.

 

The second website (known as "the old website") is where you should create an account and sign up for text and email. I have received texts just fine with every update on that website.

The case of the dammmn if they do something wrong and dammmmn that they do something right. Can't seem to please everyone. You can set your phone not to notify during certain hours, but you accept those people that you put on your list of callers to let through. I have mine set for 9pm to 6am and have all my children on the list of callers I will accept in the event they need to contact me. No one will wake me.

Well, for starters they could maybe not run the script at midnight and do it at 6pm when the work day is over...

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take 
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual
