Am new to this forum, a friend of mine advised me to join this forum yesterday because of what am passing through. I came on a K1 visa a year ago, after few months he changed completely to an abusive man. He abuse me physically and verbally and threatening to deport me if I ever tell anybody or call Police and I believed him because I have no friend or any family here. I didnt have any record of his abuse. Please I need help on what step I need to take. Note I have a pending adjustment of status but am not sure he will go. I have EAD and AP.

And that's why there's i360 for victims of abuse! You really should go through previous threads..by the time you're done, you'll be ready to help others who are currently in your shoes..that said, you should go for counselling first for psychological evaluation aiming to get you to a good place mentally, and then because you will need the document as proof of abuse as USCIS will need it in determining if you were really a victim of abuse! It's ok if nothing was documented regarding the abuse..you can get third party attestation..neighbors, friend, family, colleagues..etc alongside your own personal statement! Gather documents that makes you eligible for the i360 petition..start from there..👍

Hi guys!

Very unexpected today I found my EAD card in a mail.

Ive been waiting for it 14 months!!!

1 year 2 months and 6 days!

It was such a struggle!

And. The main thing!

(I was so angry😡)

Seems that USCIS sent my card to my shelters PO Box!

But on May 2019 I request address change and I HAVE EMAIL CONFIRMATION FROM USCIS that i changed address!!!

So that’s why I guess they cannot deliver it at the first time!

But now I’m happy!

Finally!

And I’m really so appreciated to my senator office! They really was so helpful and were answering right away!

Guys! Who is waiting for EAD (EAD renewal) I know how stressful it is! I know that this is such a pain! When you don’t know when you will live normal without stressing yourself out with tracking your work authorization!

Im sending you a lot of hugs!!! You will be there!!! That happy day will come for everyone who is now in this battle.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Congratulations... Finally you received it. :)

@Villanelle @Stillwinning!!!😊 I remember you responded to my post before and thought you guys need to know the update and for everyone to know. Almost 2 weeks ago I posted that I got a "card produced" under the C31 receipt number on a EAD I mistakenly filed as c31 (and 5 months after I filed a corrected one - under C09). Today I received the approval notice and as Villanelle mentioned it could be a courtesy from them. I received an approval of EAD under C09 category. So I am still waiting for Vawa approval which is up to this point under "RFE received".

Hoping for a good news soon!

Thanks guys!

Not a joy killer at all! 😊 I don't celebrate 100% when I don't see the proof. Although I would like to think that was a practice for the real thing 🥰🙂 thank you and God bless you as well 😘

Hi dear, so i'ld like to think that the most recent response is the one citing the pandemic for the reason there is a delay in interview scheduling! The only advice will be the classic/traditional one..patience! Afterall the response was from the enquiry of your representative. Just wait it out..you're obviously almost there..the pandemic is a heartbreaker! Broke my plans in bits as well! Hopefully things will look up soon!💁
