Thank you my dear.

If you are not in removal proceedings and you do not have an asylum case then traveling with a valid advance parole is not a  problem.

Thanks @sandranj

I was abuse too by my ex husband, but my lawyer decided to filed it As divorced enter in good faith marriage. At first I get mad at him because I thought he would file my case as VAWA, but when he explained it to me why he didn't file it as VAWA he said, either way, we need to prove to them that I enter in a good faith marriage.

It seems you have a green card and you filed form I-751 waiver. If you have a green card you can't file VAWA, just the  I751waiver based on abuse and/or bonafide marriage.

Friends - if anyone has had a vawa immigration lawyer - how much is a reasonable cost?

mine offered me $4000. Another one was $7000. I assume this concludes whole cost for i360 i485 but ead renewals will be $500 each. Hope for your advice

mine was $4000. I trust my lawyer and she has been very helpful, but i doubt I would have paid more than $4000..

Wow, I wished my lawyer advised me to do that. I'm happy for you that all was worth it in the end.

Dany-T you asked a question on the previous thread, and here is my answertsusp. USCIS will take into consideration the interview you had with your spouse, you had a "stoke interview", that being said they had some suspicion about your marriage and they wanted to clarify. Did they deny your AOS?If they denied and mentioned  a "sham marriage", then you won't have the new AOS approved, even with approved VAWA.If they denied because you could not prove a bonafide marriage then you are good.

Hi Sandra and thanks for your answer,

They didn't deny myAOS. If fact they didn't take any decision on my case. Since august 9,2019 my I-485 status is "Interview was scheduled". My interview was on september 19, 2019.

After the interview I was hoping they visit our apartment by surprise or maybe schedule a second interview, but I didn't receive any news or notification from them  and unfortunatelly I couldn't affort the bad situation with my exwife anymore and applied for vawa.

It´s been 10 months since the interview , I know Immigration can do whatever they want but, after applied for vawa and after all this time can they still deny it?.

btw, I just received the notification that my I765 C09 was approved.

Regards,

I did it by Jewish Family & Community Services  and I only paid uscis fee. The lawyer didnt charge anything.

Also Catholic Charities offer also low cost or no payment at all. Worth to check on your local area. Good luck!
