HI VSJ family,

Does anybody know how long does it take to receive a receipt notice after you file your I-360? It's more than a month and i didn't receive anything yet.
Any advice or anyone in the same situation??

Thanks in advance

That’s ok. I’m sure you will receive it soon.
Mine receipt For I-360 came 2-3 months approximately and I believe it was Prima Facie.

The last two updates is Card being produced and case was approved for my daughter and me. We have two different case numbers. We never received card was mailed notifications. That is what I am waiting for.
I was checking my mail everyday and the Informed delivery notes. Nothing so far. I am sure they haven’t mailed them yet.
My daughter suggested that we might have different number in line for production and that is why it’s taking them a little longer.
But two weeks it’s kind of crazy for mailing the cards. 🤦‍♀️

Alright then so that about explains the delay! You'll get it! You should really be in high spirits still😀..people are waiting..and have been for a long time..no news! They'll give anything to be approved without interview as you were..😊👍 I pray it will be so for many waiting here AMEN!🙏🙏🙏

Hello guys,

My I-485 was approved 2 weeks ago and I’ve received approval notice in hand.
Also, I got notification that new card is being produced, but it was 2 weeks ago and no GC in hand. It’s stressing me out why it’s taking them so long to mail a green card?  Has anybody experienced something like that?
How long does it take for USCIS to mail a green card after approval?

Congratulations for your approval... You will get it soon.

Hi Everyone! I am happy to join this supportive chat. I have experienced a really bad psychological and some physical abuse from my husband and only now, after 5 months of working with specialist I am able to open my eyes on the world again. I was in such a dark cloud with constant thoughts of suicide as he was brutal to me. I have never thought this would happen to me. But I am glad I am alive and the sun seems to start shining again.

I have been in the marriage almost a year now (I am away from him now) and filed my marriage AOS papers in Aug. 2019.  Now that everything went so bad I am about to file for VAWA protection. My EAD expires in November and I am getting a 180 day extension post that. I had some general questions on my matter to you as specialists that have unfortunately gone through similar abuse and understand how I feel and also you as someone who knows the legal inner workings of things.

My initial questions are:

1) Once my C09 EAD extension expires in May 2021, do I file for another C09 extension while VAWA c31 is pending? As I understand VAWA EAD takes 2 years to come along. I am afraid to have gaps in my employment as I missed a lot already.

2) I haven't really been in face to face contact with him for several months, can I still file VAWA?

3) I do not have police reports, is it bad?

4) He is extremely powerful and wealthy so I am afraid about the ways he can screw me over.

5) How many pages does my statement have to be?

6) Does anyone have an example of successfully written story/filed case?

Thanks everyone in advance!!

Hello everybody here

i want to ask if the Prima facie is a good sign for getting VAWA approval ?

@AhmedEid hello dear, prima facie is a very good sign, it means USCIS found you qualified candidate for Vawa Approval,.. if you get prima facie determination you should rejoice,  in my own opinion, it mean 75 to 80 percent of your Application has been approved, USCIS may request more documents or may not most times police clearance from home country or birth certificate, this doesn't mean the case can not be denied but it very rear cases and not common.. only if they request something and u couldn’t provide it and your explanation of why you couldn’t provide it wasn’t clear enough... stay blessed.. I can send u a link to a video to tell you more abt this

I got 3 PF's and still waiting since 2018 Nov. I think it doesn't mean anything.

@Kama2018 hello dear, prima facie means a lot.. if you read your prima facie you would see it says you can use it to get some government assistance like food stamp or Medicaid ,... it’s is becos at a glance they found you qualify for Vawa Approval that’s  why they send you a prima facie, that’s why you are instructed that it can be used to get government assistance, if they don’t believe your story they  not send  you  prima facie, this doesn’t mean that those people that didn’t get prima facie cases are not believed by USCIS ,...  so my thoughts for you if they sent you 3 prima facie so far you should be happy .. the officer on your case may be slow or your security back ground check hasn’t cleared yet... you will hear good news soon... if you haven’t send you police clearance from ur home country try to get it and send it....  stay blessed

@Irynalucky sorry to hear this dear.. there is a way to find out, call USCIS number and ask them for the card tracking number.. in my Vawa C31 EAD card case I had to call them for the tracking number as it wasn’t updated for more than 3days... I called they gave me the tracking number so I tracked my card via usps tracker..,

> Yes my understanding is you will be C09 till your vawa is approved.

2) I haven't really been in face to face contact with him for several months, can I still file VAWA?

> Yes. You can file up to 2years after divorce.

3) I do not have police reports, is it bad?

> Nope, but you need an extremely detailed personal/supporting affidavits/psych evaluation

4) He is extremely powerful and wealthy so I am afraid about the ways he can screw me over.

> You're fine just go about your business discreetly. Keep everyone strictly on a need-to-know.

6) Does anyone have an example of successfully written story/filed case?

> Write from the heart. If you qualify, they seem to be quite fair in their adjudication.

Thanks everyone in advance!!

@alena25 hello dear, I guess you are still married to this guy and not divorced yet... and I guess your i485 (AOS) is still pending interview...

Filing i360 VAWA consist of 4 major things

1, Prove of Good faith Marriage/Bonified marriage

2, prove  Of the Abuse you faced..(Psychology evaluation is very important since you don’t have police report on the Abuse)

3, Proves that you are a person of Good moral character....

(4) A personal Detail Affidavits of your experience in marriage and ,courtship

(pls check on google for list of Documents to prove number 1,2,3 as listed above.. don’t be scared its easy... with few documents put together you are ready to go....

if you file for Vawa you can send  your i360 VAWA receipt notice to USCIS with a letter requesting that you have filed for Vawa and that they should put ur i485(AOS) on hold till your Vawa is Approved, this would allow you to be able to Renew your EAD card  every year until Vawa is Approved...
