Hello everybody here

i want to ask if the Prima facie is a good sign for getting VAWA approval ?

Not necessarily, there have been people here that never received prima facie and their case was approved (including me). There have been people that have gotten prima facie and their cases were denied. Prima facie only means that the USCIS has recieved all the proper documentation to work on your case. However, they may still request additional documents as they work on your case.

Prima facie is a good signal that shows your case qualify for established vawa. It’s not a guarantee for approval , because they could still ask for more evidence. It’s a good omen but doesn’t mean denial also. It’s better to have than not having yet it’s doesn’t mean absent of it is bad too.

I haven't personally gone through these paths..but I can tell you that VAWA petitioners are exempted from the public charge rule!😊👍

Sunnyman, Shroy and Iceman are all correct..in that Prima facie doesn't mean that your case will eventually be approved..however i'ld like to think it's a great start..progress on your case..as it clearly depicts that you have met the criteria for the petition! Next will be to investigate/look deeper into the evidences provided..its during this time that people usually get requests for more evidence..etc..even after receiving prima facie. Perhaps to explain a situation or lack of it..sometimes provide documentation to give more credence to what has been provided already!😊👍

Hello guys,

My I-485 was approved 2 weeks ago and I’ve received approval notice in hand.
Also, I got notification that new card is being produced, but it was 2 weeks ago and no GC in hand. It’s stressing me out why it’s taking them so long to mail a green card?  Has anybody experienced something like that?
How long does it take for USCIS to mail a green card after approval?

HI VSJ family,

Does anybody know how long does it take to receive a receipt notice after you file your I-360? It's more than a month and i didn't receive anything yet.
Any advice or anyone in the same situation??

Thanks in advance

Hello..one month isn't quite the time to get anxious..most people wait anywhere from 2 through 8weeks to get it..especially in this present climate- pandemic! I'll advice you give it a couple of weeks more..or you can write to VSC!👍

The last two updates is Card being produced and case was approved for my daughter and me. We have two different case numbers. We never received card was mailed notifications. That is what I am waiting for.
I was checking my mail everyday and the Informed delivery notes. Nothing so far. I am sure they haven’t mailed them yet.
My daughter suggested that we might have different number in line for production and that is why it’s taking them a little longer.
But two weeks it’s kind of crazy for mailing the cards. 🤦‍♀️
