You need to file a new form I-485, you can file now or wait for approval.

Thanks for answer Sandra. Does it make any sense to file now or wait for approval? In timely manner it will be faster or same?

Hi VJ family!Β almost 22 monthΒ since my i360 approved.NoΒ word from USCIS. How long will it takes to get interview notice. I’m feeling highly depressed.

Hi, maybe you should contact your congressman or senator to assist with that, if you haven’t done so yet,Β Β because the normal processing time on Uscis website for Brooklyn NY is from 8/5 to 30 months, but you are still in the normal processing time. I feel your pain.

Good morning everyone. Happy Fourth of July celebrations to all!!!

My priority date on my approval notice shows as 2017, so do I start counting from priority date or from the date Vawa was approved?

Β

Thanks all

Hey😊 wish you same. Definitely not by priority date..I would say from when your case joins the queue after being transferred to your local office. Certainly speaking from experience!πŸ’πŸŒŸβœ¨

Hi guys!

I was complaining over my EADΒ RenewalΒ

for so long here and finally yesterday my expedition request was approved!πŸ™πŸ»
Β

I can’t describe how happy I was! And I’m now.

So. Senator was involved and they helped me.

I sent them job offer and they did all β€œdirty” jobπŸ˜…

Β

Im so happy! For the last couple ofΒ months of expectingΒ I was struggling so much! It was incredible stressful.

While I was waiting I lost my sleep.Β
But. I know Universe did it with some purpose.

Guys!Β thank you very much for your support! Somewhere in a middle of the way I was ready to give up! But you were so supportive!!!

Now.

Everything what about VAWS send it TO VERMONT! By default! Because we his delay was part of my fault.

And second. If someone of you in the same situation just contact your senator and ask about help. Ask twice if needed.Β
Wish you guys great weekend and how awesome it will be if everyone who is β€œpending” will get approval very fast!!!

Im so thrilled and gratefulβ€οΈπŸ™πŸ»

Friends - would anyone know if VAWA is considered to be "married to US citizen" and waiting period for naturalization is 3 years? Also, learnt that naturalization requires 3 years of past tax returns if "married to US citizen" green card is held. Would you advise please if this is correct and how much scrutiny is given to past tax returns.

I hope I understood your enquiry well enough...but here are important things to note!

Β

1) You are eligible for citizenship after 3yrs of being a permanent resident( Greencard holder) If you were married to a U.S. citizen!

Β

2)You can start the naturalization process from 2yrs and 9months of being a permanent resident.

Β

3)Your tax documents from the past 3yrs is important as it's part of the required documentation for the process!πŸ‘
