I am in Dallas too.. and my case is still with NBC.. 😞

Aww that sucks.😕 When was your VAWA approved? Did you file the 485 together or after your VAWA was approved?  I filed mine after Vawa was approved and my Court hearing was terminated.

Hello family! I need your advice! In February 2020 I have got EAD card by category c-31, in March my case was transferred to the another office. My attorney said that I need to renew my EAD card by category c-31 but I didn’t get any approval notice. Can we apply for this without approval notice?

Also, my attorney says I don't need to pay $410 as I have a low income and she will attach my tax return. But on this forum, I read that I can renew only c-9 for free, but for c-31 I need to pay. I said my attorney that I have to pay $410, but she insists I don't do it. She said that she’ll send form 912 to USCIS and for me to getting a new c-31 card will be cost nothing. Is it correct? I'm confused. I have to get my work card on time. I need to work. What should I do?

Truly renewing C9 is free..so do that if you choose! Your attorney is trying to see how you can get the C31 renewed with a fee waiver. You can do both so you're sure of at least one.👍

If you're able to get a C09 just stick to C09, renewals are free without need for waivers as long as you filed I-485 before October 2, 2020.

Yes you can get a fee waiver for a C31 I-765 if you're low income. They will approve the waiver request and accept the renewal for processing or deny it and send the form back to you.

You should attach the I-360 approval notice but if you never received one then just attach a copy of the EAD and a letter explaining that you never got the notice.

hello, how much does it cost to renew ead combo card work permit and advance parole for someone whos still waiting for a decision on her vawa case? is it easy to do? thanks

It's free as long as the I-485 is still pending and was filed before October 2, 2020.

It's pretty easy, fill out I-765 seeking a renewal under category (c)(9)( ), fill out I-131 seeking advance parole. Include a copy of the prior EAD and copy of your I-485 receipt notice. Send it to VSC's VAWA unit, unless your I-485 was originally filed with an I-130, in case of which you should instead send to the Chicago Lockbox.

I asked my attorney to apply for c-09 or for both, c-09 and c-31, but she refused to apply for c-09. Can I apply by myself for c-09 if I have an attorney and if she applies for c-31?

I'm just wondering why she's refusing?😏 makes no sense..it's free in the first place. I'll tell you right now..a lot of people here have successfully done that themselves inspite of having attorneys representing them..so if she wouldn't..you should!👍
