So I got a response from my congressman, he got my privacy act release and will look into this for me. Nice guy, I'd vote for him if I could.

Hello Everyone,

I’m new to this forum. I’m currently filing VAWA but I have a credit card debt which I accrued with my ex husband but the credit card is in my name. I got a call from a law firm/collection regarding this debt which they plan on suing me . I’m out of job now so I cant pay. Could this affect my VAWA judgement.

Nope. Only place where that could come into play would be with the whole "public charge" I-944 nonsense, however VAWA self-petitioners are exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility.

You probably may not be needing the C31 as your interview may happen any moment now..hear what Sandra has to say but I think you're good with the C9. 👍

 Hey dear also remember USCIS stated in the RFE that documents that has your date of birth will be accepted just in case you're having much difficulties. Keep us posted👍

HI Everyone! September 2018 (NYC) filer here, still no updates  Last update was on Dec 2018, which stated that they received my RFE. I emailed my Senator the other day but their response was my "case was still within normal processing time", which I don't agree with since the website says it's already processing cases filed in October 2018. I'll be calling my district representative tomorrow and see if they could help. Any advice?

The website can be a hot mess and doesn't portray real time status quo! So yeah make that call..expand your sources..I did the same. Just get as proactive as you can!👍

Hi everyone,

I’m at same boat, filled in 05/2018, just got RFe for GMC  in 07/2018, sent response on 09/2018, system never updated that they received, still saying “ RFE was sent...”. Contacted my representative last month they told that USCIS said I’m still on background check, I’m loosing my mind.

Hello! Can you, please, tell if you got the approval letter? I have similar situation, I've got my EAD BY CATEGORY c-31 the end of February, in the end of March my case by form I-485 was transferred to the another office, but I still did not get approval notice about my I-360. I am also from Atlanta, Georgia
