Ugh a stressful point,  I was devastated but I overcame.  I submitted RFE.

 

RFE sumbitted

 

VAWA Approved March 2020

 

Received new EAD C31 March 2020

 

Received I 485 receipt notice case transferred March 2020

They took mine at face value for abuse but not for the bona fides. To be honest I felt sick after I finished writing that thing.

I filed my case exactly a month ago and haven't recieved even a receipt notice yet. Is that normal?

 

I'm so nerveous about this process but I'm so happy it has finally started!

Has anyone else filed recently and would like to have a case buddy? 🙃

Unfortunately yes. USCIS has been really slow with issuing receipt notices lately.

 

If you sent it with something with tracking (e.g. USPS priority, USPS express, FedEx, UPS) then check the tracking number to make sure they've got it.

Yes it's normal..if I remember correctly, anywhere from 2-8 weeks is expected..even when not normal. Sometimes more..so chill out..you'll be getting it..and yeah lots of buddies in this building!😀🌹 welcome on board.

Yes, I checked the tracking number and they recieved it on July 25.

Thank you, I feel less worried now. I kinda need it to be able to get my driving license, so I really hope to get it soon.

Worried also about the timelines for EAD 🙄

Also what did you file? If it's an application that has a fee you can check if USCIS took money from your account (if you paid with check) or if they cashed the money order.

We are in same boat. My package has been sent out and arrived on VSC on Augusta 3rd. No receipt or money has been taken out neither. And yes I totally feel u, I feel nervous about the process but also I’m happy that it started. Hope u receive receipt anytime soon!

I have a quick question on what’s the best way to change my address. 
 

I was looking at this site: https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange

 

It notes that VAWA individuals need to mail in their change. Right now I have a pending I-130/I-485 which I’ll be changing to a I-360 soon.

 

i want to avoid all of my USCIS going to my ex husband. So I was wondering if I can simply first change my address online since I haven’t submitted my I-360 yet

I filed i-360 with my statement and all the supporting evidence, i-485, i-765 and advance parole

i filed everything  with a fee waiver, so I can't track that unfortunately

I think fee waiver might add some time to the processing since they kinda need to review it first before they either accept or reject the applications that need a fee. Wouldn't be surprised if I-360 gets tied up in it too just because they're incompetent.
