Well on the bright side seems like I-485 instructions let you use the receipt notice in absence of approval notice. Don't mind me, just thinking out loud and planning ahead.

As long as you're not going to a country that's subject to the quarantine you should be fine. If you are then you will probably need to make a 14 day stop in a non-quarantined country before you proceed to US. Advance parole alone unfortunately doesn't exempt you from the bunch of presidential proclamations currently in force.

All in all I would recommend against any international travel until you have a green card in hand or this pandemic finally blows over.

I have friend who came back with parole but they are married to American citizens.
i mean, I’m also married since I haven’t divorced yet but my question is because we are vawa so I don’t know if we are still under the “married to an american citizen” exemption

I honestly don't know. Like maybe you could weasel your way through but do you really want to try that?

Yeah I agree. I wanted to travel to my home country since 2016. I haven't up to now. Lol just waiting on my gc.  don't wanna risk it parole doesn't guarantee they'll let you back in.

What do you guys think about these changes to the i765 form from next week?

The only thing they're asking more about is regarding entries of applicants for asylum. Overall I'm a bit unhappy about, it doesn't affect me personally but it's obvious that the current administration is trying to make it that much harder to get asylum and temporary work authorization from pending asylum.

They are very concerning but the changes are for Categories C8 Asylum, C35 & C36 Employment base petition categories. All the others categories are basically the same requirements and are not affected by it, but this is an initial USCIS has begun to minimized Work permit and I hope is not extend to all categories in the future.

I miss the days when I-765 was one page (like back in 2012), then it was two pages, and now it ballooned up to 7.

Agreed. I guess, the speed with which it is going into effect during this pandemic is the most surprising part to me. There have been a lot of issues with USCIS recently, especially with finances but somehow this has to be done and done now!

I have a question for you all, please. So i concurently filed for i485 and i360 since sept 2018 and i also received a EAD card 4 months later. In may 2020 I received an RFE which i responded to. They received it on july 1st. Now i checked my i360 receipt number online amd it says that "new card receipt number EAC.... is being produced". I am confused as to what that can be,since i already have a EAD card and it was even renewed in march of this year. The category of the card that i have is c9.

Do you have any idea why they are sending me a new card knowing that i havent even been approved yet?

And @sandranj your inbox is full.

Thank you

The changes don't affect you. They're only asking Asylum applicants (C8) a few more things. C35 (H1Bs holders facing compelling circumstances)/C36 (H-4 spouses) questions appear unchanged, they just got pushed down to the next page which is why I'm guessing she thought they changed them.

Regardless, applying under C31, C9, or C14 none of the changes affect you, so cheer up.
