Hello everyone

Β

Today I received update for my I-485 as shown in below screenshot;Β

image.png.3cf799858caf65a45b5d0689a11e0c51.png

Β

Anyone has idea, what it does mean? I have included my birth certificate with I-485 application packet.Β

What else can they ask me for; Medical exam report?Β

Β

Thanks

Same here, I received the exact same update this morning. I also included my birth certificate in both my VAWA application and my also in my green card application whenΒ I applied back in November 2016.Β I also included my medical examination report in my green card application as well. However, I have read multiple times that the medical report expires after 1 year. So I can only assume that it is the medical report since the medical report I submitted 4 years ago should have expired by now. But on the flip side, they don't usually ask for medical reportΒ  as a RFE. Usually, they would ask you to bring it along for your interview. One last thing, My update says "request for additional evidence" while yours says "Request for initial evidence". I believe there is a difference between the 2.Β

Good afternoon guys,

Β  Β  Β  I received my transfer notice on Friday and this morningΒ  I got and email that they send anΒ RFE requests on my I-485. My lawyer requested an address change when she put in to renew my EAD in January and the new address was also on my i-360, they sent the EAD at the lawyer office address but after that they sending everything to my old address eventhough I updated it myself.

The possibility of the RFE been birth certificate is what we've been speculating about dear..just relax until you get it like I always advice. Keep us updated.😘😊

Guys, do you know please, how long it takes from I-360 "New card is being produced" until "Case is approved" or "Card is mailed"???

It passed 10 days since "New card is produced".

Does somebody know?

Thank you

In my case, EAD C31 was produced on May 15th, the case approved on July 28th.

I actually wonder what the reasons for these hold ups between EAD and approval notice are. Like the EAD cannot be given out without an approval and once you get a "card is in production" update then you know you've been approved. Like even if they were to catch something new between the two you'd most likely receive a NOIR rather than a denial notice.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

I think it is just an administrative procedure. It is my guess that the approvals are printed later than the case is actually approved. I don't think there is a high chance of the approval being revoked in that time. Nevertheless, the approval date on the approval notice is the date when the EAD C31 was printed. So, it doesn't really matter when you receive the notice, the approval date will not change.

Initial evidences means birth certificate

Additional evidences might be medicals as they think you case does not require interview if they ask for medicals. They can ask for recentΒ pictures as well as you sent the package 4 years backΒ

It makes sense, good thing is that it starts moving after long period of time. Hopefully we will get our greencard interview get scheduled after answering the RFE. I was getting lil doubtful about any progress with I-485 as USCIS has pushed back current date to around Sep-2017, but now it's great news that they have started working on it again.Β

MarchΒ 2020 filler. 765 approved this morning. So now what? i requested an SSN with it if I remember correctly so will they come together or how does this work?

You're going to receive your EAD after which you will apply for your SSN at your local SS office. I'll advice you give it some time for your information to be available on the SAVE system. Except things have changed, this is how I remember it.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Can we apply in online given the pandemic?

No, SSA does have an e-file option but it's only limited to USCs over 18 seeking a replacement card, everyone else has to do it either in person or via mail.
