No its not the case. After RFe response, it may take from 8 months to 12 months or even more from uscis to make a decision.

Off course i am waiting for my interview as well. I submitted my rfe response on March and still waiting

Also let me try to clarify your peculiar situation..the RFE for i360 is different from the i485 situation. Usually with i360, RFE response time ranges anywhere from 30 through 120 days. With the i485, it's just to complete your missing documents so you could be in line for an interview! Like I explained earlier you have absolutely nothing to worry about! Your case is going accordingly!😊👍

Hey friend,  my  pending Adjustment of status changed this morning  to Ready to be scheduled for interview after they sent me a letter a week ago about a decision they wanted to take because my Abuser withdrew his support. Does that mean they hold it in abayance? Thank you.

Your i360 is approved right? Your i485 is in the field office?..so it was probably held. Did you receive the letter?

I just filled my i360 this month, I got the recipt two days ago.

Ok so you may have to attend your interview and tell the officer you filed VAWA...show them your receipt ask them to hold the i485 till your VAWA is adjudicated. That's when it will be linked.👍

Hi you all, I do hope everyone is keeping safe..

I just received an update from my senator's  office..she made an inquiry with USCIS regarding  my AOS which has being pending now 14 months...she was told my case  is in queue to be  assigned to an officer....aaaaaahhhhhh this wait is killing me..😥😥😥😥😒😒😒😒😒😒

So, my question is: Do I have to follow the same and only tracking number I have and wait "Case is approved" or I will get somehow different notice?

The same tracking number..the status will update to approved, you will get the approval notice as well!👍

The tracking number is for the piece of mail that will contain your card. The approval notice will follow later, though in some cases it takes a while for them to actually print and send the notice.

Honestly even if you can't get a termination or admin closure you can still file I-485 with the court and then you can file a C9 I-765 with USCIS.

 

The procedure in cases like this is basically:

1. You send only the I-485 form with the fee to a special USCIS lockbox, they'll issue you a receipt notice.

2. You file the complete I-485 application with all supporting exhibits with the court as well as include copy of the I-485 receipt that USCIS gave you to show that you paid the filing fee.

3. You file I-765 with copy of I-485 receipt notice you got from USCIS and evidence that you filed with the court (like a stamped first page of the I-485 packet) with the Chicago Lockbox.

Hey @Demise @sandranj I spoke with my attorney. She agrees to file administratively closed my asylum proceedings, and send the i-485 to uscis with the paiement and send another package of i-485 to Court (with the receipt of i485 we will receive from uscis. And once the pending i-360 is approved, I can terminate my proceedings and continue with either uscis or court for my green card. But she said, in this case if my i-360 is denied i will lose my legal fee and application fee🤭. I told her I am a winner, it will be approved. Correct me if there is a mistake in the procedures. Good day everyone so after the excited news about my interview being scheduled. Today I received some depressing information .. vawa is one of the most mentally exhausting thing to deal with..
