Hi everyone,

So we received mail about a month ago by USCIS saying my wife's case was received.

Yesterday, I received a letter stating "the evidence submitted with your application is deficient for the following reasons......-a completed and signed I-693 was not submitted. You will be required to submit information and evidence to address these deficiencies. If you receive an interview notice, you must bring the information and evidence required to your interview appt."

So the I-693 is the report of medical examination and vaccination record. Since this can be turned in at the interview, I think we're on the right track, right? Especially if this is all the USCIS has sent us so far? Maybe it means everything else currently seems to be intact?

My other worry is that my wife's I-94 has expired. We have Form I-797C Notice of Action that we received a few weeks ago. Is this the document that she has to be carrying around and is she free to travel within the U.S. on plane with this document? Her foreign passport also expires in October, will she have to let the USCIS know if she goes to her consulate to renew/obtain her new passport?

Thank you.

You received a courtesy letter re: I-693.

Next step will be to get an appointment for biometrics as soon as those centers reopen.
