NYPD officers 'intentionally poisoned' at Shake Shack, union says

Three New York City police officers were reportedly poisoned by eating tainted food at Shake Shack.

The Detectives’ Endowment Association, the labor union for active and retired New York City Detectives, tweeted an urgent safety message at 10:45 p.m. Monday, reporting on the poisonings earlier in the evening.

“Tonight, three of our fellow officers were intentionally poisoned by one or more workers at the Shake Shack at 200 Broadway in Manhattan,” the union wrote.

Apparently it might not have been intentional, but I doubt any NYPD officers will be eating there in the near future.

NYPD police chief says those claims are not true. They had been cleaning the area of the milkshake machines which caused some contamination, and no one was seriously harmed. Will the group that made the claim apologize?
