I'm adjusting status from a K1 visa and it is ready to scheduled for an Interview in Manhattan since Sept 5, 2019. Since Manhattan is one of the slowest I have no idea how long it will take especially in these times. My EAD and AP expire in the last week of November 2020 and I have a couple of questions:

1) Should I apply for a renewal for both now or wait until 3 months before expiry and then apply?

2) I know AP doesn't automatically get extended like the EAD once you apply, but the AP will still be valid until the expiry date correct? Even if I have applied for a renewal?

Thank you for your help in advance!!

As per USCIS instructions, you should not file for an EAD renewal more than 180 days before your original EAD expires. Meaning you could file now.

And yes, AP is valid until its expiration date or the date the GC is approved -whatever happens first-.

Apply up to 180 days before it expires.

I'm in the same boat. Moved to NYC so I'll probably need to renew a couple times.
